I ordered a Sony digital camera online from Preferredphoto. I received an email from them to call them and confirm the order. When I called, the first thing I asked was if they had the camera in stock. I was told they had plenty in stock and would ship to me that day. Then their salesperson tried to do a selling job on me with all types of accessories at inflated prices. He even told me that the battery that comes with the camera is a 'starter' battery and was only good for a few low resolution pictures. I refused to purchase anything else. That afternoon I received an email stating that the camera was out of stock and they would notify me when they get a new shipment (this after telling me they had plenty in stock). I'm sure if I bought some of their expensive extras they would have shipped. I called them on the phone about an hour after they emailed me about the lack of stock. I asked the salesperson the price of the same camera and asked if they had them in stock for immediate delivery. He assured me they had the cameras and could ship that very same day. Don't let price alone guide your buying experience. Deal with a reliable company and you won't get 'screwed' like you would at Preferredphoto.
