When the 2004 Dodge Durango came out, it was seen as "the suv to have." Well don't buy into any of that hype. This is by far the worst build quality in a car that I have ever seen. It's been 3 years since we bought it and the whole interior is FALLING APART! The interior dash panels are popping out, not only looking incredibly tacky but cheap. Also, both plastic coverings on the front seat adjusters have cracked and split, leaving the controls dangling off the side. Also, the A pillar coverings are starting to fall off. And that's just the start. The 3rd row seat is worthless. All the seats are made from tough, cheap, uncomfortable leather that never seems to get better. My dog likes to stick his head out the 2nd row windows, but if you go over 30 mph, the windows create this unbearable buffeting noise. Not to mention a lousy 15 mpg highway from a 5.7 liter hemi that has a weak exhaust sound. The design of the car looks atrocious now compared with the new chevy/gmc/caddy SUVs, and just about all Europe has to offer. Dropping $40,000, I expected a lot more. However, you will never be able to escape the "cheapness" look of it. There's just no quality. Detroit, I will be sending my money outside the US next time. If that makes me unpatriotic, so be it. You make a ton of garbage cars.
