Pros: Entertaining, some really funny moments.
Cons: Some really immature attempts at humor, plot kind of silly.
The Bottom Line: It's not the best Sandler movie, and takes cheap attempts at humor, but is still entertaining.

| daddym's Full Review: You Don't Mess With the Zohan |
A bunch of my friends wanted to go see Adam Sandlers movie You Don't Mess with the Zohan. There were other movies that I wanted to see, but I was out voted. So I went.
Adam Sandler plays an Israeli fighter of Palastenian terorists. He is apparently some kind of highly trained highly evolved figheter as he seems to be able easily dispense against anyone who comes across him and can even catch bullets with his nose. He is also a bit of celebrity among his countrymen.
Although the almighty Zohan seems to be quite skilled at what he does he hates it. He hates the fighting and wants it to be over with. There does seem to be any hope of the war between his country and the Palastenians. The Zohan has a dream, he wants to cut hair. He wants to style hair, he wants to make people look silky smooth. He wants to go to American. But since he is one of the most well know Israeli fighters there is no possible way that he could go to America and live his life in peace, cutting hair.
So he fakes his own death. He allows his biggest rival to think that he killed him, knowing full well that he would brag to everyone about killing the Zohan.
Now that everyon thinks that the Zohan dead he sneaks in to America and goes out searching for a job cutting hair. With a little help from a friend who he gets a job in a Palestinian hair salon, working for a smoking hot Palestinian woman. The Zohan changes his name to Scrappy Coco, and claims to be from Australia, although his accent is nothing like an Australian. Of course he starts out just sweeping up, while he learns to cut hair.
Then he gets his shot. When all the old ladies in town find out that he is giving a little special attention along with his hair cuts they line up around the block to have their hair cut by him and receive his special services.
All the while a big cooprorate mall dealer is trying to cause the collapse of the neighborhood by forcing all of the local businesses to close, including the hair salon. Now Scrappy along with a little bit of help will attempt to save the all of the businesses in the neighborhood.
You Don't Mess with the Zohan was Directed by
Dennis Dugan, and was written by Adam Sandler, Robert Smigel, and Judd Apatow.
Aside from Sandler the movie also stars: Emmanuelle Chriqui, Lainie Kazan, Nick Swardson, Ido Mosseri, Rob Shriner, and Michael Buffer. Mariah Carry also has a small role in the film and shows up on Scrappy Coco's T-shirts throughout the movie. There are also cameos from other well known celebrities, but I will let that be surprise for you.
I should note that this movie is not appropriate for children, due to many things.
The movie was actually pretty silly, and tried to get by with a lot of immature humor, and sexual humor. I actually find it funny how in recent years Sandler seems to be fanciying himself as quite the ladies man. That being said there were some funny moments in the film, and there were definately flashes of your typical Adam Sandler comedy. Since I happen to be a fan I liked the movie in spite of myself, but not as much as I have liked other movies of his.
I will say the movie was not great but it was entertaining. I don't think it will become a classic like some of the other Sandler movies, but it held the attention, although some of the humor was really immature, and the plot was kind of silly, and the ending kind of typical. It is still worth a view, don't spend a lot of money though, see the matinee.
