Here are my answers! What category have you had the most success in? Considering the number of book reviews I've written so far, it's not a big surprise that Books has been my most successful category as far as page views go. I've done fairly well in other categories, including Movies, Kids & Family and Music, but according to the bean, er, hit counters at Epinions, I'm ranked 15th in Books with over 2000 hits as of 18 May 2005. What category do you write the best reviews in, overall? I'm not really sure how to answer this one. If you mean "best reviews" as far as quality of writing goes, I'd like to say it's a dead heat between my four core categories (Books, Kids & Family, Movies, and Music): I tend to be more at ease with products that I'm very familiar with. so those reviews, while challenging, are more fun and exciting for me to write. What category do you enjoy writing in the most? I seem to enjoy writing the most in Movies; my first "beat" when I started studying journalism in high school 25 years ago was Entertainment, and even back then movie reviews were my favorites to write. That's not to say I don't enjoy writing in other categories, but ever since I saw my first episode of "Sneak Previews" (hosted by Roger Ebert and the late Gene Siskel) almost 30 years ago, I became hooked on film criticism. What category do you feel most passionately about? I'd have to say it's another tie between Movies and Books. I have more fun with movie reviews, of course, and they're not as time-consuming to write, but I'm also an avid reader and a firm believer in the power of literacy.
