Haven't had Baklava in ages. When we used to go to the Greek festivals every year we'd have some. But my YiaYia (Greek for grandmother) hasn't made it for quite some time. Thanks again for stopping by!

I studied a little bit of Greek many years ago. Where is Baklava on your list? All that honey and nuts....yum! I had a lot of Greek friends when I lived in NY....belly dancing, Baklava and Melina Mecuri (Never on a Sunday). Good times!
Nice list. Opaaaaaaaah ; )

Jenny,
I just wanted to make sure that I didn't demean your favorite in any way. I'm glad to hear that you reconsidered that on your own. I suppose there isn't anything wrong with making someone think a little harder as long as they aren't offended by it. You have a great weekend too!

Yes, Sir...That is my final answer. You know why? Because after Dominick's closed there's just been nothing else that has remotely compared...So yes, Smurf & Turf..(oh, excuse me, Surf & Turf) it is! That's too funny! Why do you feel bad? Unique, yes...but realistic..not anymore. Besides, I'm a grown up and I should be able to have a good meal if I want, right. Have a great day and an even better weekend!
Cheers!

Jenny,
I knew you were worth it. Although I misread that the first time and thought you typed Smurf and Turf which sounded more like something you would drink milk with to me.
Scott
P.S. I feel bad that you changed your mind, the first one was so unique . . . is this your final answer?

You're right...I'll take a bottle of Veuve Clicquot any day...and back when we lived in Lansdale there was this really wonderful pizza place called Dominick's....That's was the the perfect pizza. Unfortunately Dominick's no longer exists so there really will never be that perfect pizza and champagne combination.....Ok, how about Surf & Turf and a bottle of Cliquot...There, that's the perfect meal....
Ok, now I'm hungry...(smile)...
Cheers!

Ack,
Skip the cheap bottle and just get better pizza. Cheap champagne just won't do!

Too funny...Actually my parents used to have that when I was little and I guess it just sort of carried over to me. It makes whatever pizza you have (good or bad) taste even better. Even a cheap bottle is better then nothing! Thanks for stopping by!
Cheers!

I guess I should've added Pastito to the mix of the things we eat at Thanksgiving...But we usually have that at Christmas.
Feta Cheese is great on a Ritz cracker. Spanikopita(spinach puffs) are also a tasty appetizer at my house with a good drink...Maybe 7 Stars Metaxxa (If we have it in the house)...(It's not sold in PA..Have to go to Delaware for it)...
So yes, I'm quite Greek....Just not a very functional one before my morning coffee :-)
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the 3 day weekend!
Yassou!
