Lamps Plus - not all bad!

The internet shopping experience and the boom of large warehouse online companies such as Lamps Plus has created lots of dissatisfied customers. You get what you pay for can be heard from all over the US. I am an interior designer and in my various experiences of ordering various lamps and chandeliers from Lamps Plus I have never experienced poor customer service. Now, I will qualify that statement by saying that I have a trade account with them and therefore my customer service contacts may be different than regular customers. Which if that is true is too bad. My ordering and return/exchange experience has been without issues. Unfortunately, the condition of the products isn't always satisfactory. In the last 8 items ordered, 3 were received damaged or missing pieces. While it was taken care of timely, it was a huge hassle and created installation schedule issues. Just like with any other online company. You have to know ahead of time what there order/return policies are before you order anything. Doing a little research will save you headaches later. Also, it may be more cost effective to research online what you like and find it locally. Using the manufacturers direct dealer will make any issues easier to navigate. Lamps Plus has always done right by me - just make sure you know what the rules are before ordering.
