Thanks you three_ster for hosting a write/off about what we all love to think about: FOOD! The Food Lover's Write-Off What is your favorite: 1. Soft Drink Coke. I'm a real soft drink addict. Been known to drink Sprite (when I don't want any caffeine) or Pepsi also. I need soft drinks so that I can smoke as many cigarettes as I do. However, I prefer my soft drinks a day old. I hate cold and bubbly things. 2. Ice Cream Flavor I have a real battle going with cold things as my teeth are very sensitive. However, if forced upon me, I would be able to eat microwaved chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. 3. Fast Food Restaurant I love fast food! McDonalds and TacoBell for sure, and I have recently discovered Carl's Jr. 4. Type of Pizza Not a big pizza lover, but if needed, will order the "Montagnard" from dominoes. Unfortunately, I don't think that exists in the States. It has potatoes, onions, sour cream, and bacon. Very slimming. 5. Thanksgiving Dinner Not a big celebrater of such things. Any dinner that has meat and lots of potatoes and pies (pumpkin is good) makes me happy. 6. Snack Food Pretty much anything that's easy to eat (even microwaveable stuff is difficult for me). I mean things you can just open and eat. Chips, cookies, candy, chips and salsa, left over dinner... 7. Side Dish Mashed potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, fries, asparagus. 8. Food to Eat While Driving Usually too busy smoking while driving, but I suppose I can manage smoking and eating chips at the same time, while driving of course. 9. Food for Breakfast Usually can't function for the rest of the day unless I have two cups of milk and sugar with a bit of coffee in them and a pack of cigarettes before 10am. 10. Sit-Down Restaurant In paris, my favorite place, where I used to practically live, is called Le Strapontin, which is in the 6th district (St. Germain) on rue Princess; young crowd, good music, fun decor and great food decently priced (my favorite dish is the magret de canard with peach gratin dauphinois). It's been very tough finding decent places in Los Angeles and I haven't quite found my favorite yet, but the places that I can tolerate are Barefoot, La Poubelle and Nic's. 11. Italian Dish Not a big Italian eater at all. In fact, when I lived in Milan, I had a really tough time feeding myself. 12. Chinese Dish I love Chinese food! I can eat anything on a Chinese menu except for anything with fish or seafood (don't eat those things anywhere). 13. Sandwich I like BLTs, any type of hamburger, and lately, I've been loving roast beef sandwiches with lots of mayo and mustard and avocado at school. 14. Cheese Cheese is tough because it depends on the wine also. Plus I don't remember the names of the cheese. I love a cheese (of which I can't remember the official name) that is nicknamed "Death Cheese" because it comes in a wood box and is enveloped in this very thick crust which used to be considered deadly, but once you break the crust, it's all gooey inside, yum! Don't ask me to tell you the names of anything here because I don't remember, but there is a cheese from a certain region in France that you eat with cherry jelly and wine, and it is scrumptious! 15. Donut Chocolate-frosted. 16. Type of dessert Not much of a dessert eater, I like candy better. But I do like pies, especially pumpkin pie and key lime pie. 17. Type of Cake I like cheesecake, but most of all, I prefer pastries. 18. Vegetable I love asparagus, potatoes, spinache, artichoke, and I can't remember wether it's a fruit or vegetable so I will put it in both categories, avocado. 19. Fruit Avocado, pomegranate, I love mango! But I try to avoid healthy food as much as possible. 20. Food In Bed I always eat food in bed while watching movies, usually sugary snacks like candy or cookies. Other than that, red wine and cigarettes in bed are pretty nice. Coffee and cigarettes in the morning while checking my emails. 21. Beer No thanks! 22. Drink With Dinner Either a cocktail (cosmopolitan usually), or red wine. I don't eat fish so I don't need to drink white wine (which is not my favorite anyhow). 23. Fruit Juice Absolutely not! and Finally... 24. What is your favorite meal? I have lots of favorite meals. One of my favorite dishes is Steak Tartare with pomme frite. But mostly I like anything heavy and greasy. I have an obsession with sour cream that I put on on most anything (pasta, steak, enchiladas), it makes anything eadable.
