YOUNG EINSTIEN!!!! (Reply to this comment)
by terminalrob
Who in their right mind would rate Young friggin Einstein over Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein. If you haven't seen that movie then your opinion on comedy doesn't count. Not only is it one of the best 5 comedies ever made its one of the best movies period. Not to mention Young Einstein is terrible.

I can't believe I forgot about What About Bob in my list?! That line was the funniest one in the trailers for the movie, but I don't recall ever hearing Bob say it in the actual movie. Too bad!

I was pleased you chose A....Army of Darkness. These deliberate "B" grade movies tend to bust me up pretty good. Evil Dead II is gore ish ous ly funny too.
Great movie choices.

Comedies, love 'em! (Reply to this comment)
by craftswoman
How did you ever choose? I love comedies. I would have a hard time selecting. I cracked up when I read the commenter on how What About Bob grated on his nerves. Haha! I think Bill Murray is underrated. I also loved Ground Hog Day. In fact, I'm going to write a review (if I can figure out where to put it on this website) that would mention an actress I "know" who played a small part in that movie. I wish I could remember the names of the ones I liked. Didn't you like any of the Airplane movies?
One of my favorites was Night on Earth with a good cast: Rosie Perez, Roberto Begnini, Winona Ryder, etc. Unlike a lot of comedies, this one was thought-provoking. Rosie had a great line that I always think about and it makes me laugh.
Oh and what about When Harry Met Sally? Honey, I promise I will never want that wagon wheel coffee table. Loved that line! I saw that one at least 12 times (until my son taped over it.)
I'll have to read more of your reviews! Looking forward to it.

Oh you are so right about The Money Pit. I saw it for the first time as the late-night 2am movie here, and I was laughing so hard. My favorite part is when she says their room is drafty when they are going to bed, so he gets up to shut the window. And then the camera pans pack to show a large hole where a second window should be. I was laughing SO hard at that :)

The Money Pit ! YES ! (Reply to this comment)
by ClaireKS
That has GOT to be the most side-splitting movie that I've ever encountered. When I saw Tom Hanks stand there laughing hysterically at the tub that just fell through the bathroom floor, I thought I was going to lose it. I laugh every time I think about that scene.
Great choice!!
