I'm Stuffed!! (Food-Lovers W/O)

Jan 25 '06 (Updated Jan 30 '06)

The Bottom Line All-in-all, I'm not picky when it comes to food. If there is food in front of me, I can make it magically disappear. Thanks Three_ster!!

HEY, Guess what I found whilst cleaning out my 'unpublished content' list? My long lost entry to the Food-Lovers Write-off. Sorry for my late, late, late entry Three-Ster.

**All review links will open in a NEW WINDOW**

Being the typical American, I love to eat. Just about anything and everything. In this W/O by Ryan Gamble (three_ster), you can see my complex and interesting world of food. Stick around as I gorge myself:

=====================================================

     What is your favorite:

1. Soft Drink

My favorite soft drink would have to be Sierra Mist FREE. While I haven't been well known of this brand for long, I loved it from the start. I figure: why get the drinks with sugar and mucho calories when this has none? (except for the aspartame content)

2. Ice Cream Flavor

Now, I'm not necessarily picky about ice cream. My personal flavor would most definitely be Vanilla, the one and only. It's the original and most popular flavor in the US. As for the brand, I have no major favorite. I also love French Vanilla ice cream, though I haven't seen it in a while.

3. Fast Food Restaurant

I'm not sure how widespread this place is, but I like FireHouse Subs. Don't get a Subway idea about it, for it is nothing like Subway's crappy sandwiches. FireHouse makes a variety of heated 8" or 12" sandwiches to please anyone. I get the Club-On-A-Sub, which is just that: A club sandwich in the form of a sub. Try it if you see one.

FIREHOUSE SUBS

4. Type of Pizza

Hmmmmmmm. I'm not really a pizza person. If I had to chose, I'd go with the regular cheese with or without pepperoni. Sorry, no detail here.

5. Thanksgiving Dinner:

Here's something you probably haven heard yet. This is going by my last Thanksgiving Dinner. A full-featured Taco Salad with the meat, crushed taco shells, iceberg lettuce, Kraft shredded cheese party pack, possibly tomatoes, onions, and a lot of HOT Taco Bell Brand sauce. Yes, we don't have the 15lb. turkey with stuffing, mash'd taters, cranber' sauce, and stuff. A taco salad is better and requires five minutes rather than five hours (and ^).

6. Snack Food:

A heavy tie between two snacks for me. (1) Although a bad habit, I love those Flamin' Hot Cheetos. They are to die for. With my fascination of hot stuff, these is no sweat for me. Grab a bag.
        (2) Coming in second, and quite new, is a Shaved Ice with Cherry flavoring. Using the Rival Ice Crusher and Rival Cherry topping, it is a blast (head cold blast). They have a big section full of these machines from Rival, so we bought one. Too bad I ran my finger across the blade on the first day. Took off a chunk of skin (a big one). Talk about a clean cut.

7. Side Dish:

I'll have to agree with Ryan on this one. I just can't get enough of those KFC Mashed Potatoes, with a downpour of brown gravy. When my family went out for some KFC a few days ago, I asked for a whole tub of 'em. They're even better with a spork. I may just go get some tomorrow.

8. Food to Eat While Driving:

With such wonderful driving skills, such as my own, there is no limit as to what can be ate while driving. It used to be McDonalds, until I watch 'Supersize Me' with Morgan Spurlock. Once again, a bag of Flamnin' Hot Cheetos wins this round. The $2.49 bag to be exact. Just the right size to tear open the top and pour them without touching then with my hands.

9. Food for Breakfast:

Since I usually fail to get breakfast everyday anyway, I just go with Yesterday's Leftovers of whatever.

10. Sit-Down Restaurant:

China Garden Buffet comes in first as the sit-down favorite. They serve up a buffet with every kind of that teriyaki chicken, a salad bar, fried potatoes, sushi bar, and desert bar. I like to impress people with my two-handed chop stick eating.

11. Italian Dish:

Does spaghetti count? I enjoy angel hair spaghetti with that $0.33 pack of QV Zesty Italian sauce mix. Onions are great in it, too.

12. Chinese Dish:

A heaping pound of Chicken Teryaki. With chopsticks. I don't know what it is about teryaki, but it's great.

13. Sandwich:

My favorite sandwich would be a genuine Club Sandwich with lettuce, tomato, bacon, ham, turkey, all on three slices of white or wheat with NO MAYO. Split into four pieces with a toothpick in each one and a bag of chips in the center. I also like to dip it in gravy :-)

14. Cheese:

I haven't tried many cheeses before, so I'll keep it simple. A fresh fiesta bag of Kraft Shredded Mexican Taco Cheese. It goes great on a taco salad and tastes great by itself.

15. Donut:

Coming in first as the best donut is the Original Krispy Kreme Glazed. It kills me every time someone says they hate Krispy Kremes. I usually only stick to one at a time due to the unhealthy factor.

16. Type Of Dessert:

The hottest potato chips Hell has to offer. I say 'NO' to ice cream. I need to pig out on some devilishly hot goods. Any chips you see me eat will have the words RED HOT on them somewhere. Unfortunately, after years of spice abuse, I no longer feel the effects of spice. No burning sensations or anything, which is why I desire hotter and hotter chips, yet.

17. Type Of Cake:

I just like the plain ol' yellow cake. Most preferably the Betty Crocker Mix brand. I don't care too awful much for chocolate or other, more popular, flavors. Maybe that describes the flavor, rather than the type. I don't know what to say here. I like ANGEL FOOD CAKE. Does that count? We would trim the top half-inch off with cat's thread and dig a mote within the angel food cake. Then, we would fill it in with Jell-O instant chocolate pudding and replace the cake top. It makes a grand cake. Though, I would no longer call it 'angel' anymore, packing those kinds of calories.

18. Vegetable:

By far, tomatoes take the cake [assuming they are vegetables]. But I also enjoy downing a bag of baby carrots. I can sit and eat up to ten average, large tomatoes with no problem. I prefer the hydropnic tomatoes over the groun-grown ones. If you have never tried it, then I would recommend you try hydropinically grown foods. Much more enriching, no pesticides. I don't, however, like them cooked. I like all of my veggies raw.

19. Fruit:

Who, here, can seriously tell me that watermelon isn't their favorite fruit. I can never get enough watermelon, especially since the prices are far higher than they were when I was young [a few then for one now]. Seedless or not, it doesn't matter to me. Most people say that the seedless isn't as good, but I can't tell the difference. Seedless just requires less work. Oh, and I like it UNSALTED. I hate when people will ruin a whole bowl of it by pouring salt all over it. Its sweet for a reason.

20. Food In Bed:

ANYTHING LISTED ABOVE, BELOW, AND BEYOND. If it's edible, it's made to eat in bed. Short and sweet, it is.

21. Beer:

Everyone on my father's side of the family drinks heavily, but I have never run across alcohol as of yet. The taste doesn't bother me at all, but Diet Pepsi is just as good, in my opinion, and cheaper, too. If I were forced to choose, Coors Light would win.

22. Drink With Dinner:

In this household, we sort of fall short of the traditional dinner. In the living room, in front of the 60" TV with surround, sprawwed out on the couch or recliner. Personally, I prefer to have a 2-liter of Sam's Choice [Wal-Mart brand] soda, have slushed. Due to my massive liquid intake, I stick with the 'diet' line of sodas, given that a 2-liter would normally contain 800 calories.

23. Fruit Juice:

I love that Welch's 100% Concord Grape Juice, from concentrate. It is some great stuff. If we are talking about fruit juice in general, then grape or apple juice make the cut.

24. FAVORITE MEAL:

A homemade taco salad: taco meat on the bottom, crushed taco shells, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and topped with hot-hot-hot hot taco sauce. A 2-liter of soda, half slushed. And an hour of Wheel of Fortune & Jeopardy w/ Ken Jennings. Five trips for the taco salads, by the way.
