The Bottom Line Come join us in the Food Lovers Write-off
Thanks Ryan for the invitation to this write-off. I think I have entered maybe 2-3 write offs in the time I've been at epinions (since May 2000) but as a foodie in good standing, I wanted to submit my responses to this one.
The Food Lover's Write-Off
What is your favorite:
1. Soft Drink
I try to drink more flavored water drinks than soft drinks, but Diet Vanilla Coke or Diet Vanilla Pepsi are my favorites.
2. Ice Cream Flavor
Vanilla Bean or chocolate chip.
3. Fast Food Restaurant
In-and-Out burger for their delicious, if not healthy offerings, and outstanding service.
4. Type of Pizza
I love the various pizzas at California Pizza Kitchen. Can't choose just one!
5. Thanksgiving Dinner
Traditional turkey dinner (I love the dark meat as it is juicier, and of course the skin we should avoid-yum), stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and homemade pies with whipped cream or heated a la mode.
6. Snack Food
Wish I could honestly say carrots and celery, but let's get real here. Cheese popcorn from Whole Foods, or Special K Peaches & Berries bars when I want to be a good girl. They are just 90 calories and delicious.
7. Side Dish
Stuffing.
8. Food to Eat While Driving
I don't eat while driving. I'm busy applying my lipstick. Sheesh.
9. Food for Breakfast
If I'm eating out, usually an omelette. At home I love a bagel with bacon and egg on it, along with flavored coffee. Yup, I'm addicted to coffee.
10. Sit-Down Restaurant
Shanghai Red's in Marina del Rey, California. They have delicious seafood, steaks, pasta, etc. For a chain I really enjoy Claim Jumper and their Whisky Chicken.
11. Italian Dish
Fettuccini with pesto or Fettuccini with shrimp or ravioli. Love Italian.
12. Chinese Dish
Egg Food Yung with sauce.
13. Sandwich
Tuna melt on a baguette with tomato or on sour dough bread.
14. Cheese
Mozzarella
15. Donut
Don't eat them much. They mess with my tummy. But once a year or so the ones that are filled with whipped cream, or heated cinnamon rolls.
16. Type of dessert
Tiramisu or Whole Foods banana or lime tarts.
17. Type of Cake
Love em all unfortunately.
18. Vegetable
I know many people hate it, but broccoli particularly with melted cheese.
19. Fruit
Blueberries or bananas. But I was on Love Connection many, many years ago and my date whats-his-face and I went on a gondola ride. We had wine and huge strawberries dipped in fudge. Now, that's a fruit!
20. Food In Bed
I used to eat sunflower seeds in bed. Now I am divorced. Could there be a connection? But, no more seeds in bed. Wouldn't want to bother the dogs and cats.
21. Beer
I don't do beer-icky pooey-even chocolate beer!
22. Drink With Dinner
Vitaminwater
23. Fruit Juice
Apple
and Finally...
24. What is your favorite meal?
Either scampi or salmon with garlic smashed potatoes, vegetables and a scrumptious dessert, or prime rib (medium rare) with yorkshire pudding (noone makes it anymore), creamed corn, one of the above desserts.
25. No, there isn't a 25, so adding my own. What is your favorite type of chocolate?
I love dark chocolate, preferably with nuts.
