MedSlant's Wedge Pillow Is Easy To Buy and Helps Me Sleep Better

MedSlant sells two versions of a single product -- an angled pillow that raises a sleeper's head for consumers suffering from GERD, asthma or health conditions that can cause problems while sleeping.
The concept is a simple one doctors have used for many years to avoid aspiration and other problems during sleep. Instead of raising the back of an entire bed, which can be unnecessary for a sleeping partner, the MedSlant wedge pillow fits under one person and elevates their head and upper body to help avoid problems while sleeping.
A friend recommended the site, telling me her sleep was much more restful after purchasing the MedSlant pillow. I was a little skeptical about shelling bout nearly $100 for an accessory to my regular pillow, but changed my tune after visiting MedSlant
Learning From Medical Authorities
Rather than just posting customer testimonials and similar marketing, MedSlant reassures customers by including information from major magazines and links to world famous facilities like the Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic. Already a touch skeptical, seeing those renowned names reassured me. A quick chat with my GI doctor convinced me, and I visited the site again to purchase my own wedge pillow.
As MedSlant.com points out, the wedge runs torso length, which is important because simply raising a sleeper's head not only may not help matters, but could worsen them. The site also promised a hypoallergenic pillow for only a few dollars more that would shut out mites and other allergens.
There are apparently alternatives, but MedSlant claims their design is unique. With more than a dozen articles, medical testimonials and my own friend's experience, I became a buyer.

MedSlant is one of the easiest sites to navigate on the web. A simple menu across the type takes you to one of a handful of pages. Each page has an order link that simply sends you to a secure order form in a basic shopping cart. Medslant takes all major credit cards and ships all over the world. Unlike most companies, they even provide a toll-free number for consumers BEFORE you buy.
A simple receipt showing all details excpet the credit card number is displayed and can be printed or saved after ordering. The company promises to ship within two days (note - that is to ship, not to arrive) and communicates again when your order is shipped.
My wedge pillow quickly arrived in a sturdy box with some additional information.
Consumers need to realize that they have to commit to their purchases. As one might expect, there are absolutely no returns although the company does provide a defect guarantee, presumably if the pillow's is split or something similar.
The Bottom Line, Clicks and All
Big shopping sites are fun to click through, but topping a specialty retailer who handles one product and does so well is tough. MedSlant offers a fine product on an easy-to-use website and maintains great communication through the entire consideration, buying and shipping process.
