We don't use bacon in our's because some members of the family don't like it. But I have tasted it with it and it's pretty good. My grandmother makes it for every family function and get together so we eat it quite a bit.

Nice choices for sit-down. Baby-back ribs at chili's or the all you can eat salad/soup at Olive Garden are both great!

Lol, yeah there is definitely something "down home" about meatloaf. :-)
I enjoy the peas with it every once in awhile also, depending on my mood.

I do love Meatloaf with mashed potatoes..My favorite comfort food but with baby sweet peas..Hubby likes his with corn..:)
I would have definitely put this answer if there was a question for comfort meals..

I love me some meat loaf too. My mom cooks it well though very rarely but when I get the urge I go to this place called Soul Fixins on 9th avenue and W 34th Street in Manhattan and their is delicious. Great review.

Lol, I know what you mean. I grew up with three older brothers also. But I think it was different with me because I didn't eat a lot of meat and still don't. My mother always made sure there were enough side dishes for me while my brothers scarfed down the meat. It worked out. :-)
