Legacy of the Dog is written by Tetsu Yamazaki and Toyoharu Kojima. It is a beautifully illustrated very informative book about breeds of dogs. This book is a wonderful guide to more than two hundred breeds from all over the world. The authors have spent over three years putting together the photographs attending major dog shows and visiting kennels around the world and Japan.
Legacy of the Dog is a huge book, eleven by eight and has over 340 pages. Each page has the most outstanding photographs you can imagine.
This book categorizes the major breeds into seven groups: Herding Group, working group, sporting group, hounding group, terrier group, toy group and non sporting group. Within each group, it is broken down with each breed from that group containing beautiful photographs, background notes about the dog, key characteristics of the dog, care and exercise and puppies and training.
Legacy of the Dog is an absolute must have if you are a dog lover. The photographs are outstanding and the information is overwhelming.
