Hello all, I know I have been away for a long while, I can't keep up with all of you - Blessed are all of you with the time & energy to write so wonderfully and so often! I was invited to this W/O, and well I do not usually turn down an invite, so thanks! This w/o may be approached by one of three paths: beer, wine, or spirits. Pick your poison and press onward, drunken soldier! Selection? I will be answering the following questions from the perspective of a beer drinker. 1. What beers/wines/spirits do you currently have in your fridge or cooler, in your cellar, or on your shelf? Corona, MGD, Blackstone Merlot, Grey Goose Vanilla and Bailey's. And *cough* Michelob Ultra...(It is not mine) Not to mention a bag of fresh limes... 2. What b/w/s is widely purchased that you simply cannot understand? Michelob Ultra (peewater), Mike's Hard Lemonade - I think it takes like pure Lemon & Sugar, can't stand that stuff. And White Zinfandel. It's just pink, sour and nasty. 3. What is your favorite food accompaniment? Fried Food, esp. Fried chicken, Burgers or Wings. Yum! 4. To which music to you prefer to drink? Anything really, I'm drinking and that is what counts!! 5. Ever do anything (anyone) you regret after a "tough night" at the cups? Care to elaborate? Not for a long time, I have been much more responsible. But in the past I have been kicked out of an establishment or two, and have kicked out my own share of "night-out guests" the morning after. God, the memories. 6. Do you overindulge? No. Only on vacation, and I deserve that man! 7. Describe your personality before and after and evening of imbibing. I am laid back and like to people watch. 8. What is your favorite watering-hole? Where is it located? My terrace. But, any bar I get dragged to is just fine- as long as it is friendly. 9. Who is the person with whom you most enjoy drinking? My parnter Jen, even though she can drink me under the table. 10. From what region of the world does your favorite drink hail? Mexico, Corona, Pacifico and Negro Modello. 11. Ever solve the world’s problems while under the influence? If so, what are the answers? Sure, I am a big instigator when drinking. 12. Why do members of the opposite sex seem prettier/more handsome after a few? Well I prefer members of the same sex actually, with no influence from booze..lol. And the answer is no, I call em' like I see em'. 13. When drinking alone (c’mon, admit it), what are your most common ruminations? I just think of when I was younger really. When I was more prone to getting into trouble and just being a teenager. 14. There is a movement to abolish natural cork from the necks of even the most prestigious brews/wines/spirits in favor of synthetic stoppers and – heavens – even screw-on caps. Your thoughts? Pass, geez. 15. When did you have your first drink and what were the circumstances? I was 13, Crazy Horse Malt Liquor. I got ossified. My parents didn't say anything 'cause the pain I felt the next day was punishment enough. 16. Gin - delicious or repugnant? Gin is for retirees and the snooty. 17. Ever blackout or become violently ill as a result of an evening of imbibing? Learn your lesson? Sure have, sure have strained my throat out a few times after yelling at the porcelain God. 18. You're an 82 year old Eskimo. You've just been put on an ice floe and pushed out to sea. You were given the opportunity to pack a cooler with one bottle of beer, one bottle of wine, and one bottle of spirits for your final voyage. What did you bring? Hmmm that is just a sad vision. Let's see...One Corona, one bottle of Robert Mondavi Cabernet, and a bottle of Grey Goose Vanilla. 19. What is your best friend's drink of choice? Can you dig it? Vodka & Club. Oh yeah, I just toss in a little Red Bull and I am set. 20. Are you more of a celebratory drinker or a melancholy drinker? I am a chilled out drinker for sure. 21. Do you need a drink now?
