Not very funny, ok acting.

Pros: Acting was ok,Mandy Moore looked cute.
Cons: Too long, Robin Williams had an ok performance.
The Bottom Line: Overall, a pretty boring movie with no real plot to keep viewers interested. Acting through the movie was below par and not very entertaining.

The previews for this movie actually made the movie seem funnier than it actually was. The movie seemed to be a flop for Robin Williams but just another typical movie for Mandy Moore as her acting did not seem to have improved at all from any of the other movies that she has done. There were a few moments of chuckles in some of the dialog that Robin Williams was in, but overall this was not a memorable movie and definitely not worth paying full price to see at the theater. If you are a fan of Robin Williams, I would recommend renting it on dvd. I found myself fast forwarding through a few spots in the movie and my daughter was a little bored and not really paying attention to wanting to finish watching the movie. The concept in general is a cute one, but unfortunately there was not enough substance there in the script to keep viewers entertained. Mandy Moore has tried to break out of her teenage years, but unfortunately her acting has not improved for us to take her seriously yet as anything more than that. Would liked to have seen more comedy also from Mandy Moore so that we could see a different side to what she can do as an actress.
