I mean to see this film, but I'm being a surprisingly good procrastinator!
" How do you re-rate a review, if you're not an adviser (if you know)?"
You simply hit another rating button, bro. If you rated, say, 'SH' before, and then you click on 'VH' button, your rating simply changes from SH to VH (with the latest rating date attached).
Cheers,
Smorg :o)

For me, after I saw the pencil trick, I could see right away what kind of "character" the Joker was--"no mental holds barred," in a very negative way. So nothing he did after that really shocked me, in a basic way--it was true to his form. I know a number of people like that, but in more socially-acceptable ways.

Your review of Wanted was, indeed, a progression. You have an idiosyncratic style, which works quite well for the most part. As the other commenter said, though, you just have to watch out for overly heavy plot summaries, that's all.
Oh, and why is the "pencil trick" the most memorable part of the film for so many people? It was cool, yes, but there were so many other casually sociopathic acts that I found the pencil trick almost paled in comparison to the rest. To each their own, however.

GD

Since it's broken all previous opening records, you are very likely in that distinct minority.

Thanks, Chaostamer! I've been studying other reviews to develop a more rounded approach to reviewing "art." Having a scientific background, one would think I'd be more "analytical." Too much proselytizing, I guess! Ten percent ain't a bad start, and I think it was LOT better than my Black Snake Moan review. To check my development, see my review of Wanted.

Positive reviews (Reply to this comment)

Based on all the reviews of this movie, I'm beginning to think I really am the only person who hasn't seen this movie. Most every review has been very positive, too.

I thought the review was too much about synopsis with not enough attention to analysis. 90% of the review was about the movie's plot; it probably would've helped to include more information about the acting, script, cinematography, etc.--generally, what actually makes the plot good. If you take the time to elaborate, I'll take the time to re-read.
And yeah, that "pencil trick" was...unique.
Peace,
Kyle

I thought the pencil trick was pretty original. There used to be an option that let you state how much of the plot's revealed--maybe it's just for dvds. Let me see what I can do...

Good review. I would like to suggest that the title, or even intro, state that it reveals some of the plot details.
