Welcome everyone to my First ever Hosted Write-Off. Let me first start by saying the only reason I have never previously hosted a write-off is because I could never come up with a good enough idea that I felt others might enjoy. I hope this one that I put together over the past few days will be fun an accepted by everyone? I want to thank Roman better known to most Members as romasuave because of the write- off he is currently running here http://www.epinions.com/content_4364279940 titled The A2Z W/O - the alphabetical random movie W/O that was the inspiration for my little write-off. If for some strange reason this write-off or anything similar to it has ever been done in the past, I am not aware of it and apologize? My write-off is quite simple and there are no rules to follow and only some suggested guidelines. I would like you to please make a list from A to Z of your All-Time Favorite Musical Artists or Composers or both. Now for some of the suggested guidelines. If possible try to make 3 lists of Artists/Composers that are your all-time Favorites. One list of solo Male vocalists, one list of solo Female vocalists and one for Groups consisting of two or more artists. Now since some of you probably don’t have that many or can put together that many names its’ up to you how you want to make your lists. You can make one list only any way you like, mix and match the above artists or you can do 2 lists or all three. If you come up blank on a letter which is possible like maybe Q, U or Z then you can put in "None" or a "Question Mark (?)" or "N/A" or whatever you want to use. There is no time-limit to post your entry by so whenever you like, tomorrow, next week, next month when ever you feel like you have the time. This Write-Off is OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS of the site regardless if you were officially invited or not. Remember there are NO RULES so you can have just a very few artists/composers on your list or as many as you want. You can constantly update your posting to add in ones you think of the next day, the next month or the next year. One last thing that would be could if you would like to do it is put at least one of your favorite songs by that artist next to their name if you want. As far as the solo artists are concerned you can sort by last name or first name like Presley or Elvis or like Franklin or Aretha. One last thing is if you feel you cannot pick between one artist over an other for favorite than by all means you can put more than one for any letter you need to. Here is my example to help get you started but by all means do it however you feel most comfortable. You will notice most of my artists no longer record as the majority of my list is considered Oldies and there may be some here you have never heard of before today? One final thought is if the Artists' name begins with a number like 1910 Fruitgum Company then it would sort under the letter N. NEW UPDATE AS OF 2 JULY 05: I decided the original posting I had here was way, way, way too long and had too many artists listed. I have since reduced the number of MS word pages from 50 down to 15. In this process I have limited my selections to no more than 3 or each Group, Male & Female artist for each letter. I am saving all the other artists that I removed from the original posting plus and additional 300 or so to submit a 3rd and final part of additional artists I like but are not necessary my all-time favorite like this list now is, positively.
