Trouble from the start and it just keeps going!

Pros:Good website for paying your mortgage online.
Cons:Unorganized and poor loan servicing after the sale. No follow through.
The Bottom Line: A big disappointment from a company that should handle something as important as your home more responsibly.

I had trouble from the start with Countrywide when the closing date for my mortgage was changed 3 times because of a disagreement over $70 in charges. When the closing finally happened it took 3 hours and I left the office still not sure it was a "done" deal.
I received a tax bill in the mail the first year, which was foreward to Countrywide for payment. Now, a year later, I am getting notice that my taxes are deliquent from the county treasurer because Countrywide hasn't paid my taxes from escrow. They want to put my house up for tax sale! And in addition, I just received notice from Countrywide themselves that my insurance is about to lapse because THEY haven't paid it from my escrow. I have faxed all the information they need to them and yet they still don't seem to be able to handle taking payment from my escrow account and sending it to the correct place when it is due. Who do YOU think will be stuck with the late penalties? Meanwhile, my escrow account continues to grow larger and larger. Another thing they haven't done? They haven't cut me a check for escrow overages. HUMMM?
