The Bottom Line Jaguardog's A2Z write off.
Being overwhelmed by spam I was about to delete by default any mail I had in my inbox that didn't look familiar to me. So there I was ticking away the unwanted messages when something at the corner of my caught my attention. It said "epinions" in the subject line. Interesting I though to myself, thinking that someone was trying to sell me something they I had no need for. Well I am glad that someone did try to sell me something, the idea for this excellent write-off that is. Jaguardog's first ever Write-Off was supposed to be fun. In fact it wasn't. It was excruciatingly difficult coming up with your favourite artists under each letter. This can be a downer for someone who likes to think that he knows a lot about music. Nevertheless, I dug in and came up with this Alphabetical list. Most are in my everyday repertoir but some I had to go hunting for in order to remind myself of times long past. Without further adew, here is my A to Z list of artists: A AC/DC Back in Black, Jailbreak Arhangel Uber Macedonischen Apocalyptica For Whom the Bell Tolls Bryan Adams Summer of '69 Anastacia Sick and Tired B Bon Jovi Wanted Dead or Alive (The) Black Crows Hard to Handle Jimmy Barnes Working Class Man Beyonce Crazy in Love C (The) Church Under the Milky Way/Reptile Cold Chisel Khe Sanh Crowded House Hey Now Chris Cornell Cant Change Me Sheryl Crow - If It Makes You Happy Tracy Chapman Fast Car D Dream Theater Metropolis + entire catalogue Dave Matthews Band The Dreaming Tree Dire Straits Brothers in Arms Del Amitri Stone Cold Sober Terence Trent dArby Holding on to You Celine Dion My Heart will go On E Europe Carrie Eagle Eye Cherry Save Tonight Enya May it Be F Fates Warning Outside Looking In Foo Fighters Times Like These Aretha Franklin Pink Cadillac G Guns and Roses Welcome to the Jungle Eddy Grant I dont Wanna Dance Judy Garland Somewhere over the Rainbow H Heart - Alone Sammy Hagar Cant Drive 55 PJ Harvey - Seagulls I Insomnia Jovana (hehehe my own band:)) Chris Isaac Wicked Game Natalie Imbruglia - Torn J Jet Are Gonna Be My Girl Mick Jagger God Gave Me Everything Norah Jones Dont Know Why K Kings X Fool You (One of the most underrated rock bands in the history of the Universe) Lenny Kravitz Fields of Joy Kylie Minogue Cant Get you Out of my Head L Led Zeppelin Black Dog John Lennon Imagine Avril Lavigne Complicated Cindy Lauper Time after Time M Metallica One, Battery Mother Love Bone This is Shangri-La Van Morrison Have I Told you Lately that I Love You Alanis Morissette Ironic Loreena McKennit She Moved Through the Fair N Napalm Death (One of their songs, I dont know which cause they all sound alike) Nek - Sei Solo Tu Olivia Newton-John Lets Get Physical O (The) Offspring Come Out and Play Mike Oldfield Tubular Bells Sinead OConnor Nothing Compares To You P Pink Floyd Welcome to the Machine/Shine on you Crazy Diamond Paradise Lost Say Just Words Prince Sign o the Times Laura Pausini In Assenza Di Te Q Queensryche Silent Lucidity (No male artist on this letter) Queen Latifa (dont know any songs from her) R Reef - Naked Rage Against the Machine Killing in the Name Of Stevie Ray Vaughan Couldnt Stand the Weather Bonnie Rait - My First Night Alone Without You S (The) Stereophonics Maybe Tomorrow (The) Scorpions Still Loving You Sigur Ros - Agaetis Byrjun Savatage Dead Winter Dead Joe Satriani Why? It was fun. I used to make lists when I was in my teens and this W/O just proved how entertaining it can be. However, I am sure I missed many artists that I love and adore but when you're making lists you're bound to lose a few on the way. Thanks JD for hosting this wonderful W/O. May this be the first of numerous successful write-offs. Cheers. |
