Decent quality makeup, but terrible customer service

My sister told me of an on-line store that sold makeup for just $1.00. Immediately I thought it had to be low-quality, but found myself going there out of curiosity only to find that the site was down most of the time. I visited back day after day to see if it was up, but it always seemed to be having technical problems. Finally one day it was up and running, so I decided to buy some products after reading reviews. They were only a dollar a piece, so what did I have to lose, right?
I quickly filled up my shopping cart with several different products and checked out. It took nearly a month for me to get my makeup and when I received it I immediately decided to try it on. After opening the package, I realized that there were a few products missing that I had originally ordered. I looked at the receipt that had come with my makeup to see what went wrong. The receipt listed ALL of the products I had ordered and had charged me for each one, yet not all of them were in the package. I never got anything from E.L.F. telling me that any of the products were out of stock, that I was still being charged for them, or whether or not they were going to refund my money or send me the missing products when they were in stock. I felt very ripped off.
On the bright side, the makeup I ordered actually works very well. It is comparable to most drug store makeup brands, and for a way lower price. I also ordered a 12-piece makeup brush set and the brushes are so much better than any others I've ever had. I think despite feeling slightly ripped off by E.L.F., I would still shop there because I believe I am still saving more money (even with three dollars stolen from me) than I would buying other more expensive brands of makeup.
