I have always enjoyed Type O Negative because listening to Peter Steele's battle his own demons and depressions, makes battling mine easier. Musically, October Rust is one of the best albums ever written, and is one of my all time top ten listened albums in my lifetime. There were days that I too would listen to the album every day over and over. I did that with Floodland by The Sisters of Mercy too.
I liked your commentary on the songs. I had my copy of Bloody Kisses with Suspended in Dark stolen, so I'm trying to reacquire that song, but I have everything else. Although Wolf Moon, my second favorite Type O Negative song only to "Love You to Death," is indeed about a woman's menstrual cycle, it is more specifically about turning into a werewolf after having oral sex with a women during her cycle. The line in "Be My Druidess" is "I’ll do anything to make you COME" though it's growled and suggestively sung otherwise.
Unlike Josh Silver and many fans, I actually really like Type O Negative's covers. All of them. Their cover of Black Sabbath's "Black Sabbath" is absolutely wonderful and is more dark, and gloomy than even the original. The one with alternate lyrics isn't as good though.

Have never actually heard them (one of my friends loves them, which under normal circumstances means I should stay away)...but I DID see the Playgirl layout. Veddy impressive, I must say.
