Great player, great price
Written: Oct 21 '01
Pros:Great price, lots of included features, decent headphones, mic input
Cons:small buttons
The Bottom Line: Buy this player. It's a great value and comes bundled with alot of great options that competitors models don't offer in this price range.
This is actually the second player/recorder I bought in as many days. The one I originally bought is the Sony MZ-E500PC. It was not worth the money paid for it (see my review on it) so I took it back and bought the Sharp MD-MT90C. I am glad I did. Not only does the Sharp model have alot more included features that the Sony did not (rechargeable battery and AC adapter, better headphones, optical cable included, free case, remote, mic input), but it cost me $40 Canadian less. (that's about $30 U.S. dollars)
The optical input works great, and the resulting discs sound great. I created a MiniDisc of my Dire Straits: Brothers in Arms CD by connecting my MD player/recorder up to the digital output on my DVD player. I listened to them both, and I can barely tell the difference between the two. (I work in a recording studio by the way!)
I would recommend this player to anyone.
