Verizon Bad and Lawsuits will Follow -

Cons: Taking, hurting, boondoggling, harming, extracting money

Verizon pretended not to receive my cancellation notice. When I took the phone and DSL account offered by the competition, they sent me this pathetic letter telling me that they were going to lower their prices soon and I would regret leaving their company. Then they sent me a ridiculous bill for about $350 for phone which they sent on to collections soon after, kept billing me $40 a month for DSL, and lied when I called, refusing to comment other than to state that this was the first time they were being informed I was leaving their company. I told them "stealing is stealing." The representatives on the phone with one name either hung up on me, or told me they wouldn't help me unless I answered questions like "why was I leaving Verizon". These tactics are common to thieves who deny that they are stealing. It is hard to believe that a company with so much to lose is engaging in practices like this. Buyer beware! Stay as far away from this company as you can!! For anyone who doesn't read this or doesn't believe this , the only hope would be for Verizon to get so many lawsuits from these terrible, oppressive practices, that they will be compelled to stop hurting the masses.
