Pros: good pricing for "Family Advantage Plan", friendly service
Cons: sometimes poor reception and echoing on phone
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend using Cingular as your cellular phone service provider, especially if you are interested in the "Family Advantage" shared minute plan.

| LiSaLiCiOuS's Full Review: Cingular Mobile Phone Service in Philadelphia |
I signed up for Cingular's Family Advantage Plan after going to several other cellular phone companies and checking out their offers. I found Cingular to have the best deal as far as the sharing plans go. For the plan I got, I have two lines, 400 daytime minutes to share between the lines, and unlimited nights and weekends, all for only $56.98 a month. If you purchase 2 separate cell phones and plans, you would most likely be paying between $60 and $80 a month for the same minutes, so I feel that I got a really good deal. I have only had this service for about a month, but so far I have not had any major problems. Once in awhile, there is some echoing on the phone when I am talking, but nothing that is unbearable. For some reason, whenever I am at work, my phone comes up "cingular roaming", even though it is still in the local calling area, but when I called and checked with customer service, they said that it really isn't roaming when it says that. I don't completely understand that, but I'll just have to wait for my next bill to make sure this is true. The customer service people are very friendly and willing to help you though, so if I do have to call again for any reason, I'm confident that I will not run into any problems.
