Puckmugger's Sports Challenge W/O
Jul 07 '05
The Bottom Line Join the W/O!
I dont write in the Sports category much even though I have always been involved in some kind of indoor/outdoor activity. Guess I really should review all of the sporting equipment I have huh? I was pleased to receive an invite to join Puckmugger in celebrating his 300th review.
1. What are your favorite sports to watch on television?
Nascar. I like to watch football also but thats only if the Eagles are playing. I could care less about everyone else. I watch tennis at times but not very often though I did enjoy Andy Roddick getting his butt kicked, and I didnt enjoy Venus winning but it happened anyway. I used to watch baseball all the time but it bores me now.
2. How often do you watch sports on television?
Every week. I do not miss the Nascar race every week and the Speed channel is on my Dish list of favorites. I also watch tennis when possible. I never miss an Eagles game during the season.
3. What are your favorite sports to watch live?
Nascar (Am I being redundant?)
4. How many live sporting events do you typically attend annually?
Not very many. 2-3 maybe
5. What organized team sports have you ever participated in previously?
Growing up with three brothers was very healthy for me. Ive always participated in some kind of activity: soccer, dance (yes I consider it a sport), colorguard (yes I consider it a sport), and rowing. I play volleyball with my family at various get together's but never with a real team.
6. What organized individual sports have you participated in previously?
Tennis, cycling, golfing and running.
7. What pick-up sports have you participated in previously?
Volleyball
8. What sports or outdoor activities do you currently participate in?
I still like to row but that only happens very rarely as I have a back injury. I continue to run and play tennis. I just recently got into golfing (meaning that I provide the entertainment for my brother and father on the course).
9. How often?
I like to get my cardio in by running every other day. I cycle about 1-2 times a week (a lot less than I wish I could). And I play tennis very rarely these days when friends are available.
10. Is there any sport that you wish you could participate in now?
I wish I could row with a team again
11. Whats keeping you from doing it?
but my back prevents me from doing so.
12. If your fairy godmother was going to give you all the skill and a job in pro sports, what sport would you play?
I think I would be a really awesome pro tennis player. Hmm
or do I want to drive in the Nextel Cup? Decisions, decisions
13. What team and position (if relevant)?
Not relevant.
14. What beer would you promote as a sports celebrity?
Corona I guess. I'm not much for beer, I prefer mixed drinks or regular straight alcohol. :-)
15. What brand would you promote?
Nike or maybe Columbia & L.L. Bean (I love their clothing).
16. Do you have any sports hero's? Who are they and why are they your heros?
My all time hero is Lance Armstrong. If you cant figure out the reasons then Im sorry.
17. If you could invent a new sport, no matter how absurd, what would it be?
Havent ever thought about it.
~ Thanks for the invite Puckmugger! Please see the Sports Challenge W/O page to enter your own answers.
Stay tuned for part 2.
