Triple Monitors Configuration (Reply to this comment)
by adough
Helpful explanation there, thank you. But I would like you to tell if it's possible to setup and configure three monitors such that:
a. I can drag objects across the three screens
b. Have two of the monitors synchronized to display same object and the third screen display separate object following your explanation.

An alternative to PCMCIA is a USB video card. There are several available, are generally cheaper than a PCMCIA card, and users rate their performance anywhere from adequate to excellent. IOGEAR and Tritton are examples, and the newer ones go up to 1280x1024, 32bit.

nice, but how about some card ideas? (Reply to this comment)

the basic problem with setting up something significant (i.e. more then 2 measly monitors) is finding compatible PCI adapters that will work as secondary adapters. Microsoft had a list of cards that worked in this mode, but i haven't been able to find it again.

I use an older matrox millenium pci to use a 3rd monitor, looking to expand to a 4th, just not sure if there's something perhaps a little better then teh matrox, or if i should just stick with it for the other card... its only 10 bucks shipped ;)

than it used to be. I remember trying to set up dual monitors on a Windows 98 system and getting frustrated with ATI, Compaq and Bill Gates.

Gr8ful :-)
