The Bottom Line The Vast Wasteland isn't getting better.

TELEVISIONERS W/O

Most Enjoyable Comedy On The Air: I love “Scrubs” It surprises me how under the radar this show is considering it was the heir apparent to ”Friends”. I’ve never seen “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, but everyone tells me it’s outstanding.

Comedy Where You Can Tell They Use A Laugh Track: Any Disney channel comedy. Agreed. Too fake for me.

Best Cancelled Comedy/Sitcom: Do you mean simply no longer on the air, such as “Everybody Loves Raymond”, “Seinfeld”, “Cheers” etc., or a show that got the axe before the show was ready to call it quits on its own? If you’re going with the former, I have five sitcoms that were excellent and it’s difficult for me to choose a winner: “The Dick Van Dyke Show”, “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”, “M*A*S*H”, “Cheers” and “Seinfeld”. “Everybody Loves Raymond” will likely join this list, as its dysfunctional extended family plotline will NEVER be dated. OK – under pressure, I’ll pick “Seinfeld” based on the episode “The Contest” alone. I haven’t been “Queen of the Castle” for some time now.

As far as a comedy that got canned…did anyone else see the few episodes of “Doctor Doctor” on CBS in the early 90’s. It starred Matt Freuer, who was the human behind the persona of Max Headroom (anyone remember HIM?). It was funny, and even a little naughty. One scene I remember vividly - a nurse is doing a crossword, “Eight letters, show of affection. Hmmmm…[thinking] ah-ha! MOISTURE!” At last – a show as naughty as me….alas it didn’t last long.

Most Entertaining Drama: Don’t watch much drama; other than “E.R.”, which I’ve watched from the beginning. However, someone needs to euthanize this show, or at least send it to the rest home.

Most Overexposed/Overrated Drama: “I think the “Law & Order”s and “C.S.I”s are getting really tiring by now. They should just make a network of those two shows and leave ‘em be.” I couldn’t have said it better. How many versions of the same show can we ingest?

Show You Just Never Got Around To Watching: “Lost” / “Desperate Housewives” – both look interesting and received good reviews. I just can’t seem to find the time and we haven’t bothered to get a TiVo.

Best Reality Show: Don’t watch ‘em as a rule. Watched one season of “Survivor”, but that’s it.

Guilty Pleasure Reality Show: See above.

Show You Liked At First, But Suddenly Stopped Watching: “Enterprise”, aka “Star Trek: Enterprise”. I just stopped making the time to watch. With the on-going plotline, I felt I’d be lost after a few episodes and just let it go.

Most Entertaining Animated Show: With two kids around the house, my animated watching is limited to Nickelodeon. From this genre, I find myself laughing out loud at “Spongebob Squarepants”. Loved “The Simpsons” when I watched it regularly, and I always laugh at “King of the Hill”.

A Show Past It’s Prime: Please shoot “E.R.”. It’s visibly hobbling on its last legs now.

A Show That’s Received Too Much Hype: Jessica Simpson’s reality show, whatever it’s called. OK, she’s gorgeous and has very luscious peach fuzz covered breasts. Enough already. Is she really that stupid? If so, Jessica, please get off the air and get on all fours and do what you probably do best. If she’s NOT really that stupid, then she’s acting, and that means it’s NOT a reality show after all, now, doesn’t’ it.
“Desperate Housewives” and “Lost” are close runners-up. Too much media coverage for all of these.

Most Overrated Show In The History Of Mankind: “Friends” – I watched it along with the rest of America, and I loved it too. But really, what ELSE was on the air to compete with it. It was the best thing on during its run, but I’m not sure how well it will stand the test of time. I really got tired of the Ross / Rachael fiasco by the time the series ended.

A Show You Wish They Had Made A Long Time Ago; Or At Least Renewed: “Seinfeld” – how hard could it be to keep doing a show about nothing? However I AM glad it didn’t overstay its welcome ala’ “E.R.”.

Epinions Member That Should Have Their Own Show: This isn’t even close - BadKittyM. Although thanks to AdamsJill for nominating me. Kiss Kiss.

Underrated Show On An Otherwise Corny Network:: “Scrubs”

Your Opinion Of The Emmy’s: If I had an Emmy, I’d say they are the ultimate measurement of television success. However, I don’t have one, so I’m going with calling them a politically influenced popularity contest among the pretty people in LA-LA Land so that even those beautiful millionaires have something to struggle to obtain.

Most Interesting/Funny Commercials: I like Bud Light’s “Real Men of Genius” series – they take it so seriously, especially the singer. Michael Bolton, eat your heart out. Haven’t seen Paris Hilton’s burger commercial yet….but I hear it’s hot.

Commercials You See Too Often: anything related to erectile dysfunction and warnings about four-hour plus erections. I know hubby is thinking about sex whenever these come on.

Will You Add snik1 To Your Trust List: Maybe…if he adds me first.
