I had a good experience with Home Finance of America. Their offered the lowest rate without points. The application process was hassle free. There was a change in loan officer because the previous one resigned, but I was informed of the transition as soon as reasonably possible and the transition of work went seemlessly. The loan officers Joseph Hallinan and James Knotts who worked with me are very helpful and professional. Most of the communication was done through email and telephone. My loan officers responded to all my inquiries within 2 hours. Both my realtor and I are very satisfied with the way they handled my loan.
The fees Home Finance of America charged were low compared to competitors. The process was quick and transparent. The terms offered were favorable. There were no hidden fees. Anything that showed up in the closing package was disclosed at the time of loan application. Both the lock-rate agreement and loan commitment letter were issued very early. The closing package also arrived for in time.
I can not be happier with my first-time home buying experience. I would definitely use Home Finance of America again in the future and recommend its products and service to my family and friends.
