I had a review all set, a list actually, entitled Old Man Metal's 100 Most Exalted Albums for my three hundredth review but decided to put it off in favor of joining Romasuave's My own Personal Opinions W/O. What could be more appropriate for an Epinions milestone than writing about your experiences at Epinions.com? I'm afraid I don't really know Romasuave much and can't remember if I read any of his reviews (sorry Roman) but he seems like a stand-up guy and I have corrected that for the future. My most lucrative review (with link and $$$ earned) Would you believe I’ve made a whopping $7.30. The good news is that was in two months. I hope it keeps up. I also like the writers corner, which I probably use too much, when I need to let off steam. 2] I generally like the members I’ve come across and have even developed a cyber friendship with a couple of them. 3] You’re fairly anonymous, so you can pretty much say, within limits, what you want Things I dislike most about Epinions 1] Some members write reviews that are much too long (I‘ve done it too).I’ve actually came across some five thousand word reviews. I won’t read them and I doubt anyone else will either. I read once, the ideal review is six to eight hundred words. I think reviews should be capped at twelve to fifteen hundred words. 2]Parts of the Book section are screwed up and nobody seems to be able to fix it. F. Paul Wilson cannot be pulled up as an author though several of his books can be accessed indiviually and there is no access for the recent Dune prequels. I want to write reviews but there’s no place to put them. I have come across many other problems in books as well. 3] And of course the jerks. You know who you are.
