Celebrating Romasuave's 100th... W/OJul 22 '05 Write an essay on this topic.The Bottom Line Hey, let's all celebrate... and here's to another 100! This is a write-off too celebrate the 100th review of fellow Epinions member Romasuave. Member name and meaning Well, it looks like a double entendre, but in all reality I am admittedly a fan of classic British children's book character Noddy. Only, that was already taken, so I stuck a '1' after it. Date I joined Epinions November 14, 2004. Member visits 538 Total visits 2,177 The reason I joined It was for a Relient K Street Team mission. We were asked to choose a review site to review the current album. Epinions was one of the many choices. My very first review Mmhmm - Relient K. It got a Helpful rating right off the bat and has to date earned me 25 cents... which just happens to be the review that's earned me the most. Three favorite reviews I've written The Beautiful Letdown - Switchfoot. It's certainly not my best, but it got me my first Very Helpful rating, which is something to be proud of. About a Burning Fire - Blindside. They're one of my favorite bands, and this is an excellent album. It's also a VH, and a very good review. Homework - Daft Punk. This was a hard review to write, because of Daft Punk's tendency to recycle loops over and over and over and over. Listening to something so monotonous can really get to you, and I'm quite proud of the result. My most complete review I'm gonna have to say that it's a general music review about my personal favorite Top Ten Songs in Japanese. This was waaay hard, because I had to truncate a lot of songs, and that is never fun. I might do a follow-up next year, to see if my list has changed any. Most successful write-off I've never had one, so I can't answer. Favorite write-off I participated in This is actually my first. Maybe I should do a few more... My most lucrative review Once again, it's Mmhmm - Relient K. It's earned a measly 25 cents so far, but I don't really care how much it gets. Things I like most about Epinions There's an excellent community here. I stay in the music category, and we're like one big family, helping each other try to make the best purchases. Things I dislike most about Epinions It has to be the people who hide themselves behind a low rating for fear of someone getting revenge on them. It's rather stupid, if you ask me. Members I admire most blindsider - Sheila is one of the coolest people on here. She writes excellent reviews consistently (which is something I only wish I could do) and she has virtually the same favorite bands as I do. Sheila, you absolutely rock! DrFaustus - I've seen some of his They Might Be Giants album reviews, and they're really good. I just happen to be a They fan, so it's nice to see fellow fans here. Up and coming admirable writer To be brutally honest, I've been away from here for awhile, so I can't really name anyone right now. Ultimate goal at Epinions I just want to write good CD reviews, and Epinions is the perfect place to practice. I graduated from Amazon.com and I've come here, so be sure to watch me in the future.  |
