Granted, I'm long past 100 postings, but I decided to give Celebrate Romasuave's 100th w/o a shot. Member Name and meaning behind it (if there is one) seacow, with a small s. It seems as though people assume I'm female, despite having Brian as a name. I really like manatees, so when it came time to select an email address, I thought I should have something related manatees. I actually started with alaska, because I thought it would be funny to have alaska@juno.com as an email address, but it was taken. After several attempts, I ended up with seacow. Date I joined Epinions January 1, 2000. (I'd prefer not to get into the whole millennium thing.) How I stumbled upon Epinions I believe it was a site called Adperks. It was one of those pay-to-go-through-ad sites. Adperks folded shortly thereafter, but Epinions is still around. Number of member visits 33,568 as of July 22, 2005 Number of total visits 64,823 as of July 22, 2005 My very first review (with link and description) It was the Fuji FinePix MX-1200 Digital Camera. I can’t believe that it’s been more than five years since I wrote it. The 3 favorite reviews that I’ve written (with links) In no particular order and for no particular reason: Charlotte Sometimes (This movie actually surprised me.) Naked by Nature (This was actually the first review of an adult movie that I posted.) Clorox Disinfecting Wipes - All Scents (I can’t believe that this was actually available for review.) My most complete review I’d have to go with the iPod. My most successful Write-Off (If I wrote one, include link) I’m going to have to not answer this one, as I have yet to host one. Favorite W/O I participated in (with link) My favorite to participate in was the TV Ads That Make Me Mad W/O. (My entry) My most lucrative review (with link and $$$ earned) My most lucrative review was also theFuji FinePix MX-1200 Digital Camera with a whopping $8.30. Seeing some of the other entries in this write-off, I don't feel so bad. I wouldn't mind a $43 review, but having a few that are near $10 is pretty good, too. Things I like most about Epinions I like being able to (hopefully) help people out. Earning money is nice, too, but I doubt I’ll ever earn enough money to make a living at this. Things I dislike most about Epinions Revenge raters, for one. I especially hate the ones that hid their names, even though I usually still know who they are. Members I admire most on Epinions I have to admire freak369. I have to respect someone that can write that well that often. I also like drdevience. Maybe it's just looking out for a fellow South Floridian. There's just something I like about the Doc's reviews. Then there's my brother, squishee. I've been encouraging him to write more, but I understand why he doesn't. (I'm still waiting on that VOIP review.) My ultimate goal at Epinions I’d like to be number one in each category, but where would I go from there? Right now, it’s just to write and read other’s reviews.  |
