The Bottom Line Umm, W/O?
Member Name and meaning behind it (if there is one) Dargen. Dargen. Dargen is from something deep inside me, known as my inner geek. For the past year I have tried to crush it and embrace mountain biking and other skin removing sports. For you, my fellow Epinionators, I'll tell what Dargen means. Many a year ago, when I was but the sweet age of 10, I was involved in a Star Wars role playing game. Note this only lasted a week. Dargen was the name of my character and I happen to like the name. Date I joined Epinions November 26, 1999. I'm old in Epinion years. Real life? Still can't buy booze. I remember the glory days when you were paid 10-30 cents per hit. How I stumbled upon Epinions Bored.com How I found bored.com? No idea. Number of member hits 7903. I used to write a review every six months and I've deleted at least 20 really old and useless reviews. Anyone remember when reviews were rated Highly Recommended, Not Recommended? Anyone? Number of Total Visits 34,334 My very first review (with link and description) I deleted this review about four years ago. Do I remember what it was? No. Back then I used to write about websites so chances are its one of those. The 3 favorite reviews that I’ve written (with links) No More Squirrels Looking Up My Shorts! These shorts became my best friend after a rather muddy and bloody experience with a bike. Street Cuffs Put U-Locks to Shame By far the best bike lock ever created. I know what you're thinking, have I ever cuffed someone with these? The answer is yes. The kid was a jerk at a party so I cuffed his legs together and listened to him complain for half an hour. Make No Mistake, Thomson is the Best I like the seatpost and I talk about my butt a lot. Good review material. My most complete review Babylon 5 Season 4 I spent four days writing this review. I watched all 22 episodes and every single special feature for a whopping 23 cents. My most successful Write-Off (If I wrote one, include link) To be honest, I don't really like W/Os. Favorite W/O I participated in (with link) It would have been the beer W/O but the disclaimer told me I couldn't write one. My most lucrative review (with link and $$$ earned) I had a review that earned $33 but deleted it a while back. This review was one of those that earned 30 cents per hit...a long time ago. Things I like most about Epinions They made me an Advisor. It makes me feel special and all happy inside. I like the Outdoors category and I definitely do a lot of research on this site. I also like the check I get each month. Thats right, each month. Things I dislike most about Epinions I HATE express reviews and the fact that I have to rate the outdoor express reviews. I don't know how to rate them. If it were up to me, express reviews would magically disappear. Members I admire most on Epinions I've been here since 1999. The members that have influenced me most are almost ALL gone. Hirohito99 and I used to terrorize the Epinions neighborhood with the most violent and disturbing reviews. While my reviews are still disturbing, I've managed to tone them down enough so they are informative with a good amount of humor mixed in. Lobstergirl She wrote my favorite review of all time. Its a guide for women how to pee standing up. I never tried, but go back for a laugh once in a while. Openroad This guys puts up with about 2 emails a month from me about adding bike parts or questions about bike parts. Not to mention his reviews are quite helpful. Howard_Creech This man is the reason I write Very Helpful reviews instead of my old disturbing reviews. He left a comment a few years back that triggered something inside me to actually contribute to Epinions. Puckmugger After a month of reading his reviews I finally added him to my WOT. The reason? The man lives in a horrible location and loves hockey. Honorable mention goes to Lambchops, jo.com, and erin5oaks. My Ultimate Goal at Epinions I wanna be one of those reviewers who get free crap sent to them. I like bike parts (Specialized, Crank Brothers, Chris King).
