Diamonds are a girl’s best friend! Well I don’t know about that but Service Merchandise online web site will sure make you wonder about it.
Service Merchandise offers a large variety of diamonds, watches, gems, gold, silver, kitchen items, household items, heath and beauty items, toys, home décor, dining, cameras, luggage, electronics, optics, grills, gift card/egift certificates and a whole bunch of other stuff. And all available with just one click!
The web site is very attractive when you first sign on. All diamonds on sale the ad says! Wow I thought! It may be time to do some shopping! And I would really like to find out if diamonds are a girl’s best friend.
The Service Merchandise web site is very easy to get around, the pages load quickly and no hassles, this is very important to me in web site. You can search for any item you may be interested in via the search engine they provide. Or you can just click on one of the many links available such as the ones mentioned above and you will be taken to another page with those items for sell. There is always a sale on of some kind via the web site.
You can also do a store locator for the store nearest you. You can also take your merchandise back to any store for any reason. (I will talk about that later.)
They also offer Bridal Registry in which you can go to and buy a gift for the bride to be, that is if she is registered with Service Merchandise. You can go and make your own Bridal Selections and then check the web site for the gifts that have been purchased. This is a neat feature because you can find out what you have coming in as gifts and what you may still need to buy after you are married if need be.
I want to talk about the search area again because they offer two types of searching. First on the home page you will find a category that allows you to “break down” of jewelry in “Your Jewelry” section and “home” items in the “Your Place” section. You simply select the category of choice and then go SHOPPING!
The second method you will find at the top of the site which is called a “Search Tool” where you can search by keywords or item number from any sales paper or flyer that you may have received in the mail or picked up at one of the stores. They also offer an email address should you have any difficulty in finding an item. That email address is: customerservice@servicemerchandise.com.

Product Availability Information: Service Merchandise, our goal is to have the finest jewelry and home products available to our customers. We make every effort to only show products that are currently available either in our stores or for shipment. On rare occasions, we may experience an out of stock situation with popular products. If this is the case with an item you have ordered online, you will receive an email notification as well as a notification in the mail. We apologize for any inconvenience. Now this is a good feature as well I think. You may also email at the same email address above should you need to.
They also offer an option where you can receive emails on updates on new products and sales. This is really great because I can always find out what is going on sale. You never know I may be interested in buying something else. My poor husband he works so hard already…Lol.
You may contact Service Merchandise like I already state via email, but you can also contact them by phone at 1-888-764-4387 Monday thru Friday 8 am to 10 pm EST and Saturday 8 am to 7 pm and Sunday 11 am to 7 pm.
You can shop online using a major credit card or the Service Merchandise Gift Card or you can reserve you item/items at your nearest store for pick up.
Should you have any credit or refund questions. This is what you would do. “With Service Merchandise, your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it within 30 days for a merchandise refund. Shipping charges are not refundable. You may either return it to one of our local stores for an immediate credit or refund or you may return the merchandise via UPS to 433 McNally Drive, Nashville, TN 37211. Once we receive the item in our warehouse, credit or refund processing takes approximately 7 days. If you have questions about a return for which you have not received your credit or refund and it has been more than 10 business days since you mailed it back to us, please email us at CustomerService@ServiceMerchandise.Com.”
They even take care of damaged merchandise for you by:
“Retain the original shipping carton(s) and take the following steps that apply:
If received via UPS - contact your local United Parcel Service office and require them to pick up and return the merchandise to us.
DO NOT RETURN THE MERCHANDISE YOURSELF.
If received via USPS (United States Postal Service) - notify us via email at CustomerService@ServiceMerchandise.Com.
Defective Merchandise or Wrong Merchandise: in the event defective or wrong merchandise is received, immediately contact us at 1-888-764-4387 or via email at CustomerService@ServiceMerchandise.Com.”
Now for the return policy At Service Merchandise, your satisfaction is guaranteed. Now Service Merchandise offers a Lifetime Trade In Policy in which I found to be really impressive. I have heard wonderful stories from some of my friends that take advantage of this procedure. From the web site:
The Service Merchandise Lifetime Trade-In Policy states that at any future date, an undamaged diamond/gemstone may be returned for full credit of its original purchase price toward the purchase of a new diamond/gemstone. New diamond/gemstone must have a purchase price at least 100% greater than the purchase price of the original diamond/gemstone. You must present the original register sales receipt or certificate at the time of the trade-in.
If you trade in your original diamond/gemstone for a new diamond/gemstone, and you are not satisfied, you may return the new diamond/gemstone within 30 days of the trade. The entire purchase price of the trade-in will not be refunded. You will receive either:
a merchandise credit for the entire purchase price of the new diamond/gemstone, which you may use toward another purchase, or
a merchandise credit in the amount of the purchase price of the original diamond/gemstone plus a refund for the different between the price of the original diamond/gemstone and the price of the new diamond/gemstone.
Item must be taken to a Service Merchandise store for Trade-In transaction. Trade-In transaction cannot be done via the Internet or Mail Order.
The shipping and handling charges are always added in the shopping cart area and they do vary. So you will need to read that section when you check out. Also, the delivery time is generally 5 to 7 business days.
There is a question and answer fact page that I suggest you read carefully. You will learn a lot more about the web site then what I have stated in this review. And don’t forget you will be charged the appropriate sales tax.
Overall I love the Service Merchandise web site. It offers me a lot of choices just like in the store. And like I stated already I have had no problems with the site or the company for that matter. I love the stores as well.
So, back to the original question; Are Diamonds a girl best friend? Well that depends on the girl I think. Because this girl’s best friend is her husband, but let me tell you diamonds sure make a girl happy don’t you think! And besides you can’t kiss a diamond and get any real satisfaction from it. At least I can’t. That is one of the many reasons that I have a husband in the first place is the satisfaction that he brings me.
So husbands and boyfriends, get in gear, your ladies may be going shopping!
