Cheers Romasuave for your 100th Review...Mabuhay!Aug 02 '05 Write an essay on this topic.The Bottom Line working hard is the way to reach one's goal like Romasuave reaching his 100th and counting. I am still in the process of putting my ideas on paper for my next product review so just to make the "jinx" I feel I have here in Epinions go away I'm crashing Romasuave's Write-Off. Before anything else, I'd like to wish Romasuave more reviews to come and more W/O's to host. Anyone interested to crash just like me, please don't hesitate to visit Romasuave's W/O page. Member Name and meaning behind it (if there is one) When I joined Epinions, I really didn't put much thought on my member name that's why it's kinda boring and has no meaning whatsoever. The first part jenny is my nickname or the short form of my first name 'jennifer' while the other half is my maiden name. If I join now, my member name would be a choice between pirate and porcupine. wink! Date I joined Epinions June 9, 2002 which means I've been a member here for 3 years now. Come to think of it I have only 13 reviews to my name?! I'm telling you I do have the jinx. How I stumbled upon Epinions It was an accidental meeting between me and Epinions. But I'm telling you it was love-at-first-sight. Sigh. Seriously now, I was browsing the net for opinions on aquariums and voila! Google listed Epinions on my search results. Number of member visits As of this writing (August 02 18:01 Phil time), I have 1,008 visits so far. Number of total visits 2,818 visits. Wow! That's a lot already for someone who appears on the site only once in a blue moon.. My very first review (with link and description) It's a lame one and not even a product review at that. What A Successful Budget Means tells of how one can go about doing a good budget. It was very short but it has earned an "H" rating. Not bad eh? The 3 favorite reviews that I've written (with links) My apologies Roman but I feel that I can only name one as my favorite review as of this moment. Besides I don't have that much reviews to choose from yet. Actually, it's not my best but it is the closest to my heart that's why. It's my review of one of my favorite books Living, Loving and Learning by Leo Buscaglia. I plan to update it one of these days to give justice to the book. My most complete review I consider my entry to drdevience's Medieval W/O to be my most complete review so far. In "There is a Happily Ever After(A Medieval W/O)", I was able to put forth the pros and cons of the movie into the review which I believe made it a balanced review. My most successful Write-Off (If I wrote one, include link) No write-off ever hosted in my 3 years here in Epinions. Reason? Too scared that no one will join. wink! Favorite W/O I participated in (with link) This is my third time only to participate in a W/O and I'll say I've enjoyed every bit of it. I don't have any faves yet since I only join the W/O's I feel I can contribute something to. The following are the other 2 W/O's I participated in: 1. Medieval W/O - I joined this W/O because if given the chance to go to another time I would have loved to be reincarnated during the medieval times. I am just so fascinated by the people and everything medieval. 2. Unisex Beauty Write-Off - I had a fun time writing my entry for this W/O as well as reading the entries to Julie's/42ENGLISH W/O. I wish this will be an annual event and I will surely crash in again. Haha. My most lucrative review (with link and $$$ earned) It is my entry to the Medieval W/O, my review of the movie Ever After which has earned me a whopping $0.18. Things I like most about Epinions I like the people first and foremost because reading the reviews and comments make my day. That is also the reason why I really try to write good reviews if not the best so the people who will read them will not regret having read my reviews. Things I dislike most about Epinions Members who have a vendetta for an SH rating given to them by yours truly even if it was made in a very objective way. Well, that just goes to show you really cannot please everyone. Members I admire most on Epinions I admire everyone on my WoT for different reasons. It may be for their writing style or their ability to be so good at what they do whether it be as an advisor, a lead or just being a member of the community. But I'll take this opportunity to mention a few who have been such inspirations: drdevience - I find doc one of the most approachable and blunt persons in Epinions. I remember the time I was thinking of hosting my very first W/O and it was she I turned to for advice. She may not remember my email asking for SOS but thank you for taking the time to reply. Lark729_89 - Carol has always made me feel that my reviews are worth reading for the comments she leaves each time. Millinocket - I like the way Sue writes and answers each comment she gets. Keep it up! My ultimate goal at Epinions To make as many friends as I possibly can, to better my writing style, and eventually become a lead reviewer someday.
