I made a purchase in Feb. and paid using Pay Pal.
Never received the product so began a dispute in March. Escalated to claim almost immediately and then Pay Pal closed the case in about a week.
Seems to me that Pay Pal would have know about the problem already based on the experiences of others and should not have been accepting payments to Body Moose or allowing them to operate on their account site.
The bottom line is I got no product, couldn't reach anyone at Body Moose and Pay Pal says they can't reach them either. It's too bad, I have purchased from them twice before and liked the product and had gotten good service before - although slow sometimes.
I don't expect I'll get my money back. Any suggestions?

I'm really sorry about all of the P.S.'s. I just wanted to clarify what I said about filing the dispute after seeing all of the comments. I think I had only seen Patty's review and I believe it was on another site when I filed the initial dispute. This site and it's comments were found later. I escalated to a claim after the dispute. It was unbelievable to me that this merchant would not respond to my e-mails. Apparently it was happening to others. Without escalating to a claim I doubt if the order would have been cancelled. Anyway, I know this sounds crazy to keep writing comments about these details. Take care, Susan

P.S. I might have told PayPal on the phone last weekend that I saw complaints or reviews or comments on "eopinions" but I don't remember if I specifically cited this site. I did write that I did a google to find these criticisms. Anyway, I don't know if you have pursued the matter at all. Hope it works out. Sincerely, Susan

I joined eopinions today because I wanted to contact you about the bad experience with bodymoose.com. I placed an on-line order on 11/7/08 .I e-mailed last week about the status of my order. After hearing nothing, I filed a dispute with PayPal the next day.I generally would have given more time but I believe that's when I googled and started to see all of this stuff so began to really worry. I had to escalate the dispute to a claim after three more e-mails even using PayPal as a mediator and still hearing nothing. Yesterday I escalated the dispute to a claim. In my claim I quoted some of your comments about the foul-smelling liquid plus the fact that you could not get any contact after 3 e-mails. I did not use your name but just said there were complaints or comments on -line that concerned me. Today Body Moose contacted PayPal to refund my money. So I was lucky in the sense that I didn't have to deal with potentially contaminated material or a return. I have to say that I have been ordering the squalane from them for over 2 and 1/2 years and have not encountered this lack of service and communication before. Anyway, they've lost a customer for sure! Sincerely, Susan

Ordered, received order after much delay and emails.
What they sent (squalane) was 2 bottles of foul-smelling liquid, one of which is clear and one of which is amber.
Told them I wanted to return it (via 3 emails), can't get any contact.
I am toying with the idea of taking the bottles to a lab and paying to see what is actually in them.
BAD, BAD, BAD site.

in the last few weeks ive had a similar experience with body moose - theres a spa site that recommends them and ive just sent an inquiry to that site also - its seems odd that there are no other complaints found online

I think you must have accidentally selected the section that says you recommend this company. After all they have done (or not done!), I can't imagine you saying "yes" that you recommend them.
This company sounds like one to stay far away from.
