I'm a loooooong time Chuck Taylor wearer, as a matter of fact, I almost exclusively wore Chucks from the age of 13 til around 32. The Varvatos Purcells have both the look I love and fit well to my narrow, generically shaped feet. I bought mine on Zappos and had to return the first pair as they were too small. It seems they run small on sizing. Add around a half size to what you may normally wear.
I'm not super fashion concious, but I do love the retro look of these shoes. They are part of my Office Chic collection ;-)
Varvatos has taken a classic shoe style and given it subtle updates. It's a bit pricey for a sneaker, regardless it's a solid shoe. Enjoy!
