I am the Vice President of Operations at MagazineLine. We have relationships with hundreds of publishers to offer subscriptions to their magazines. When we receive an order, we forward it to the publisher with our payment within a week of receipt and they handle delivery of the magazine. Publishers print their address labels a few issues in advance and new orders start with the next unlabelled issue. The standard start time for monthly magazines is 6 - 10 weeks. Titles published more frequently usually start a few weeks faster and subscriptions with fewer than 12 issues per year take a few weeks longer. Although the delay before a magazine begins can be frustrating, our discounted rates versus paying newsstand price make it worth the wait.
I personally read customer surveys we receive and almost all are very positive. Our Customer Service representatives truly want to help our customers and have full authority to do whatever it takes. We stand behind our guarantees and I would encourage you to read them on our Customer Service page.
If you have had a bad experience with MagazineLine which you don't feel was properly handled by Customer Service, please contact me directly at mbogle@magazineline.com.
