Pros: Supports up to 1,8ghz Athlon low cost high performance system
Cons: None that I can think of, unless if saving money bothers you!

My latest system contains the K7T Turbo limited Edition Motherboard . I call this the heavy duty workhorse for high end systems at a low price.
The specifications say it all.
The Cpu support ranges from a 600Mhz to *1,8 Ghz AMD Athlon or Duron processor.
*I recommend using the AMD Athlon Thunderbird 266 FSB (2X133 Mhz) With a Cooler Master model DP5-6131C-A1 Cooler and heat sink ( Heavy duty cooler).
*I placed 3 kingston 512mb Dimms (133mhz) for a total of 1,5GB of Ram.
The combination of the North bridge and South Bridge chip sets give the user a doubling of the bus speed selection. The User can have 2 X 100 Mhz (200Mhz), or *2 X 133Mhz(*233Mhz)
Northbridge Control
The memory controller is the VIA KT133A (552 BGA) chipset that gives advanced high performance and has a 133/100 clock generator which will also accept slower rated proccesors (100 mhz) and ram by simply repositioning jumper #17 to the closed position ...THATS IT !
Southbridge Control
THe advanced bussing feature is made simple by the VIA 686B (352BGA) this supplies the user with great interfaces as follows:
1.Enhanced Power management.
2.Intergrated super I/O for Floppy controler,LPT porting,Com Porting, and Infra red porting.
3. it utilizes a dual master IDE Ultra DMA 33/66/100 PCI.
4.It controls the integrated hardware soundblaster(on Board sound).
5. It has a great *ACPI configuration feature which lets you decide how you want the system to shut down and star it up.
(see BIOS)
The rest of the configuration is softset in the BIOS.
Simply choose which speed you would like to bus at for the appropriate Processor and Ram and your in like flint.
The Bios then Default reads the On-bus devices and assigns the proper settings to each device.
The Board comes with Promise 20265R Raid controllers which can be reconfigured to extra IDE controllers IDE's 3&4.
There is a feature for USB PC2PC networking built right and totals to 4 USB ports.
A VIA AC97 audio on board sound chip that gives high quality 3d sound.
Expansion:
If your looking for an ISA slot than don't look here , Isa is legacy so this new board doesn;t suport old 16 bit bussing, HOWEVER there are 6 32 bit master PCI slots , I AGP slot and a unique CNR feature slot for newer type devices.
It's compatible with every graphic card on the market I can think of and other itnerfaces don't pose any problems at all. All Plug and play devices work perfectly!
Video Adapter
*I recomend the Asus 7100 geforce-2 400 MX 64 MB tv-out (cheap deluxe and fast)
The quality is made through a beautiful blood red PBA with hot to trot high quality microchip design.
I prefer these boards over all others to Run Linux ,WINNT4 , or especially WIN2000 Operating systems. That require high performance for best results
