I received a phone call, an email and a letter from Coty. He has reported to me that he passed his written test with a score of 85, which garrauntees him the job he has chosen. (Air Traffic Controller.) He says he ran the mile in 10 minutes which is just under the 12 required to run the mile in, he did 60 push-ups, (45 are required) and 65 sit-ups. (50 are required) They had base liberty Friday and Saturday, he says he ate a large Pizza and got sick to his stomach because he ate to much. LOL He than went over to the mini mall there at LackLand and was able to get on the internet and emailed me. This week Coty is off to Warrior Week, i.e. the Gas Chamber, loading/shooting/unloading and cleaning of his M16. He says he is looking forward to the confidence course, i.e. crawling with his M16 under barbed wire, over and under the rolling log. (I can't remember what that's called) :) I just can't picture my little boy with an M16. Coty asked me a question I've been asking myself, "Where do these wonderful people that have been writing me all these letters of encouragement, come from?" I said to him, "Coty, I don't know but aren't they great?" He says "Thank them again and again for me, they have no idea how much they have helped me through this." I'd also like to share with you what happened while I was visiting a website called MilitaryMoms.net It's a site where mothers of soldiers can get support from other mothers going through the same things. I was in the chat room when a woman in there was expressing her excitement at her boy graduating the same day as Coty, Long story short, it appears that her son is in the same Squadron and Flt, not to mention the same Dorm as Coty.
