BAD - unreliable, poor service

I placed an order for a Carhartt coat on Oct 22. I selected 3-7 business days shipping because I needed it before Nov 10, when my husband was leaving for a month long trip overseas. Their website says the item ships in 48 hours. On Nov 3 I checked the tracking and it hadn't been shipped at all! I called (read previous review about on-line chat - a joke, it never works) and I actually had to call the 'new order' number to speak to a live person. Then I found out, to my surprise, that my husband's coat was backordered and expected to be in stock on NOV 23!!! There was, of course, no mention of that when I placed the order. The customer service rep didn't even appologize for it, she merely said that "yes, the on-line database is not updated with current stock info". I cancelled the order immediately and ordered from Cabela's, who have it in stock and (for $10 extra) are sending it expedited so it's here in 4 days.
I understand items may be in high demand and backordered, but a reliable store tells you that up front. The Working Person's Store is actually taking advantage of the working person. Don't shop there!
