When it comes to G.W. Bush aka the Shrub, nothing surprises me. Don't forget it took him two or three days to get to Ground Zero. By golly that would be four years ago today.

completely... I'm still in shock each day as to what I see on TV...I tried to put me thoughts is an essay also but when I wrote it I wasn't as angry as I am now....

Thanks for your thoughts, let's only hope this never happens again...I'm a little worried about that new storm just churning away off the coast of Florida again, nobody has been able to say just what it's going to do or where it's going....

Stay safe in this crazy world

was on vacation and making political trips (and strumming a guitar which has led Buguru, me, and others to liken him to Nero strumming his lyre while Rome burned). How many days of vacation did Lincoln take? Can anyone imagine the first Republican president refusing to meet with the mother of a slain soldier?

Very well said. I've been in shock all week over how this situation was handled and I think you nicely express a major part of the reason why.

The response was far too slow, and it really galled me, the day after the storm, to see him golfing. When he finally did speak, I thought it would be about the srtorm-instead, there he was babbling about Iraq.

It seems that the welfare of other countries come before that of its own. I have always felt this and now, the proof is overwhelmingly clear. Nicely written.
