1. What is your current Weight? (optional)

203 lbs.

2. What is your goal weight, or how many pounds do you want to lose?

185lbs. (16 lbs.)

3. Are you currently on a diet regimen? If so which one?

Nothing formal. I am just limiting my calorie and fat intake. Normally I would just eat whatever I wanted to. I suffer from eating whatever I want now that my body has stopped having such a high metabolism. And due to a recent knee surgery I cannot exercise as freely as I have in the past. So now I am just packing healthier meals with fruits and vegetables for snacks.

4. When did you begin your current plan and how's it going so far?

2 weeks ago. It is going great for three reasons. The first is I feel a little better. I didn’t think I would but I do. I am losing weight, about a pound and a half a week. And third this is a diet I can deal with. No I’m not going to lose 7lbs in one week like you would with south beach, but I’m not miserable right now either. So I know I can do this for the next 4 months and see a difference (if not for the rest of my life, we’ll see.)

5. What other diets (if any) have you tried in the past? What were the results?

I tried the south beach diet twice for about 5 weeks and 3 weeks respectively. Both times I lost a good deal of weight the first week, then it seemed like I did not loose weight after that. And I was miserable.

6. Do you include exercise with your diet? If so what activities or workouts are you performing?

When I have time I walk uphill on the treadmill. Because of my knee surgery, exercise has been a little difficult.

7. What was your most dramatic weight loss?

1st week on south beach, 7lbs.

8. Have you ever gained back the weight after a diet? If so why?

Yep.

9. Out of the following: Neck, arms, legs, calves, abs, shoulders, back, chest...which do you feel is most defined?

Defined as in biggest? My belly. Defined as in looks good? That would be my hair.

10. Which area from the above mentioned do you feel needs the most work?

Abs, bicepts, tricepts, quads, gluts, and calves (and everything else that goes with those groups).

11. What is your impression of the "real women" ads you see on billboards advertising skin care products (women in white bras and underwear posing and smiling)?

I certainly do not feel they are the norm, even for Southern California. They are beautiful people, but most of the population does not look like that therefore I do not feel it is an accurate representation of what is "real". Real is my wife. What is far more important than beauty on billboards to me is a persons attitude, spirit, and work ethic. The spirit is what I view as real, not a pretty body and my wife Possesses that characteristic. This is what I find real and the beneficial part of a marriage, not the body. It is also her strong spirit that is most beneficial to me and (especially) my children. Is the body nice? Of course. And my wife posseses that also.

Xango, Mangosteen fruit juice.
