Loser's Game A very foolish game it was we played When we were young and thought we were so wise. I wonder. Was it wisdom when I prayed To find Eternity within your eyes? Is anything eternal, ever, dear? Your eyes so quickly turned to someone new, They taught me, and it was so very clear, That winning ended every game for you. Now you've lost each dream you had attained, While mine are stored where memories abide. The passing years have left you worn and drained, Yet, in my dreams, I've kept you always by my side.
