A pleasure to meet and greet ya... (Reply to this comment)
by ChrisJarmick
Thanks for the great conversation. It was a pleasure meeting you and I'm glad you had a chance to drive around Whidbey.
Greenbank... where you got your wine, is where we (Washington Poets Association) puts on our annual Burning Word Poetry festival every April. We take over the place and over 400...poetry lovers swarm to the place to enjoy readings, workshops, music etc.
I hope our paths cross again. Take care.

Hi Lisa!
Actually, no, we ended up skipping the ferry. We drove around Whidbey Island instead and had a great time wandering around Langley and Greenbank. We also picked up a bottle of Loganberry wine, which miraculously survived the flight back to Virginia. I wish we had had a couple more days. I would have loved to have gone up to Victoria.

It was really nice meeting everyone at the meet and greet, and I look forward to future get togethers, both unofficial and official! If you find yourselves in the Seattle region again, let me know and perhaps we can do dinner. Did you take a ferry ride? I was thinking about you on Sunday, wondering if you managed to visit the San Juans.
Again, it was great meeting both of you!

Thanks hist! I would love to go back to Washington. We had so much fun, aside from the traffic jams and I bet Bill would love to go to Vancouver. We'll definitely drop a line if we come up that way again!

until I saw that you called me "legendary". :-) What a huge compliment! Thank you.
It was a pleasure meeting you and your husband, however briefly it was. Sorry that I couldn't have been there sooner so we could chat a bit more.
And I *have* rectified that WoT of thing. You weren't on it, but you are now.
I'm glad you had a great time in Seattle, and hope you can make it back there some day. And if you're ever in Vancouver, send me a note and we can all go out to eat or something. It would be fun!

This is a scene that I surely don't want to miss. Pray that the stars will align to allow me and the colonel to fly to Texas again!

Actually, we did spend a very short time in Texas. We had a layover at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport on the way to and from Seattle. I wasn't all that impressed with the airport-- especially those damn golf cart vehicles that perpetually rove within the security area and threaten to run over pedestrians. I thought the little tornado signs by the bathrooms were kind of cute, though.
Still working on Bill... Novemeber's a big month for us.

Come to Texas!!!!! Tell Bill I said you have to.
As I've said elsewhere, we're going to try to have a 'warm up' bbq at our house on Friday, and then find a fun place to 'afterglow' Saturday night. You'd be more than welcome to join us at either or both and I'd love to get the chance to chat some more. And I know le tomat would love to meet you too.

You tell that Bill, we want you both there in Texas! I'm hoping we're gonna find another karaoke place for Saturday night and you absolutely must not miss the song I've requested Mr. Tomato to do.
