The Bottom Line You'll always be in our hearts Ed. Thank You for everything!

I was wondering when someone in this community was going to get around to supplying us with an outlet to sound off about Ed. Sheesh, it's about time not to mention long over due. I have a few words to say about Ed and appreciate the chance to do so here in this very public forum.

I've never had the pleasure of meeting Ed in person, but I have been lucky enough to correspond with him from time to time via email. My first encounter with Ed was an email he sent me after reading one of my reviews. He decided that it was his duty to write me and give me a lesson in grammar. Now I'd be lying if I said this didn't offend me at the time. Who in the hell was this guy to be correcting me? I decided I was gonna take a look at his reviews and see how many grammar and spelling mistakes that he had made and write him back and bring them to his attention. My plan seemed like a good one at the time until I actually started reading Ed's reviews. Rather than looking for mistakes I found myself very interested in what Ed had to say. Each day I would return with the intention of finding a whopper of a mistake to call him on and each day I would find myself more engrossed in his words. It didn't matter if Ed was writing about a book or a spatula, it was all very interesting and entertaining to me.

Well, feeling a little discouraged that my brilliant plan had backfired on me I had to come up with a new one. I didn't want this old guy to think that he had gotten to me so I came up with an even better plan than the first one. I decided that I would start emailing Ed and asking him for grammar advice. This way he wouldn't know that he upset me and I might learn something to boot. Ed is and always was very prompt at answering my emails. He not only helped me with wording things right, but he always explained why they should be worded that way. Aside from helping me with spelling and grammar, Ed left some pretty uplifting comments on reviews I wrote that detailed some abuse I was going through as a direct result of sexual orientation. I consider Ed to be one of the real, down to earth, good people at this site. He's honest, a great writer and an awesome friend.

I love you Ed and I know that some day you will dance with the angels. We'll all be along soon enough so if you wouldn't mind saving a dance for me I would greatly appreciate it.
