The Bottom Line God bless!
Hello Friends: Wow, the last time I wrote something, my son was only a couple of months old and now he's nearly a year and a half and I can honestly say, I can't believe how much more I love him each and every day. He's such a little man now. Coming into his own. Discovering new sights and tastes and likes and dislikes. Personality plus opinions about EVERYTHING! He knows 17 words and counting. Can put on his pants by himself, backward, but still you gotta give the kid some credit! Well anyway... My life does consist of more than my son, believe it or not. My husband is going back to school and is about 8 months shy of completing his master degree in education. Once he is finished I plan on going back to school the following September to complete my bs in business administration. And eventually we plan on having another little one, the good Lord willing! Also, my husband and I have become a lot closer in our own private walks with Christ and in our walk in marriage with Christ as well. We're both born again Christians if you didn't get that from my profile. We have become a lot more involved in our church and even teach a beginner's children's church for 3 - 6 year olds! We love it! I have changed jobs in the past 3 months, I no longer work for a hospital, I am now working for the same health system, but in philanthropic services and I LOVE it. Life isn't always what you think it's going to be, but it can be good and bad when surprises come along the way. We truly do learn from the good and bad. And just when we think, oh we have it SOOO bad, something horrific like Katrina comes along and smacks us back into perspective. I truly hurt for those people. I can't even imagine what is going through some of their heads and hearts right now. Most of them have lost everything, loved ones are the most important, but homes, jobs, personal assets, just washed away in the storm. Just baffles me how the course of life can change as quickly as the course of a storm. My husband and I have been going through some financial strains lately with him being a full time college student and only subbing part time, from time to time and having to depend on my income alone. It's been rough. However, in times like these, we really need to try to dig deeply for those in need. Whether it be financial, donations, canned goods, volunteering our time, or simply praying. I shouldn't really say simply, because the power of prayer is an awesome thing. But I will save that for a future post. The point is that people are hurting and they are our people. Americans, human kind and they need us. I feel compelled to help them. Well, I truly did just want to say hello and that I miss it around here. It's been a while. But I'll be back. Sooner than a year and a half from now, I promise. Take care, Liz |
