you had me for a while, but totally lost it with Death Cab for Cutie for a few reasons...

1. I love the band
2. You haven't heard any of their albums according to your statement, so you can't really even put an official opinion down, b/c as I'm sure you know, band's always sound different live, some better, some worse.
3. Well, I don't really have a third, I already basically covered everything.

1.Coldplay: Possibly the most over-rated act of all time

I couldn't agree more. I'm with you on just about everything except Wilco.

Sweet article.

Dude, this list is the shizzle and everything, but the fact that Linkin Park didn't make the cut is sort of odd... cuz seriously, your writhing hatred for Linkin Park round these here parts is almost legendary.

And yeah, even while I adore Audioslave, seeing any of their live performances for a while made me sick. But dude, have you seen a couple of their newer live videos? I saw a solo performance from Cornell for the song "Doesn't Remind Me," and he sounded great!! The band covered "Loud Love" too, and it wasn't mind-boggeling or anything, but it completely rocked and Cornell sounded much better than I would've expected! Plus, I never thought I'd get to hear a Soundgarden track played live, and it was a great feeling to have!

I think those videos are on AOL or Yahoo if you haven't seen them already, so they're worth checkin' out. Anyway great list, keep it real, and peace out.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Finally someone who shares my distaste for both Coldplay and Oasis! They both suck. I think they've both had one decent song put out (For Coldplay it was "Yellow" and for Oasis "Supersonic) but everyone adores them for some odd reason. Ack...just ack.

That doesn't make any f*cking sense.

This column doesn't make any f*cking sense!!

You call yourself a rock critic but don't know about half of the f*cking music itself.

I'll respond to this all right very soon.

About Julian looking bored and stoned all the time. I think it's better than the alternative: all these "scene" bands timing their jumps and rolls exactly on cue.

Plus I'm sure they make their music videos boring on purpose. But in Reptilia, Julian does get into it. I think everyone remembers his distorted vocals from Is This It? and won't give him a second chance. It did get a lot better.

A LOT better than Brandon Flowers.

Way to hit ten nails on ten heads. Even on Audioslave, who I love but would not pay to see live because of Cornell's I-just-swallowed-a-box-of-glass-shards voice.

At last, an Epinioner hath summoneth the courage to speak out against the atrocity that is Coldplay's categorization as 'alternative'. 'Tis deserveth of a ROFLMAO moment, but that's about it.

I saw the title and knew The Killers would be on there.

But the Beatles? Overrated? Are you out of your mind?

I have to agree with more than a few of your choices, but I have to stand behind Wilco. Yeah, A Ghost Is Born is hardly an accessible album, but Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is certainly not their only bright spot. Go back and listen to Summerteeth and see if you still can't understand how they got such a big following.
