I live in Texas. I chose worldcom because it had free long-distance and roaming. If I could turn back time...
My story matches most I have read here. No bill for 6 mos, then a letter stating charges for this period would be added in to upcoming bills. Hey, how about we just add all of them into two bills! Yup. The next two bills contained all the charges for the entire 6 mos. Put aside the fact that you have no way to know if you are using more than your planned minutes without a bill...why does the customer get nailed with a gargantuan bill when the company has billing problems?
So, I send the checks. Now, they have cashed both but only credited one. I have now been on the phone on hold with "customer service" about 45 minutes. I spoke to someone who just put me on hold someplace else. My ex-husband has the same phone service and is now being billed long-distance, even though it was free in the contract. Worldcom is telling him that they offer no plan like that and he has to pay.
So why sue? THIS IS YOUR CREDIT BEING RUINED BY SOMEONE ELSE'S INCOMPETENCE!! Do not get a phone plan from Worldcom. If you already have, e-mail aged1200@yahoo.com to join the suit.
