I received a new KA toaster oven for a gift and it worked fine for six months and then failed. I contacted KA and they sent me a new one free of charge. I was amazed at the customer service that I received and praised them to everyone. However, the new one has failed in less than ten months and now they will only send a refurbished toaster oven (someone elses problem). They would not budge on their position. I threw out the KA and purchased a Cusinart toaster oven and am satisfied with it so far. I googled "Trouble shooting KA toaster oven" and found out that this is a common problem with this product. A relay switch over heats and shuts down the power to the unit. Numerous consumers have had this problem. KA should solve the problem and take care of the consumers who purchased this appliance with a known defect.
