If you need memory for your computer, or printer go to Crucial.com. Especially with operating systems that use more and more like Windows XP.
Crucial is the retail sales arm of Micron, a maker of memory chips.
Last year I built a new computer and wanted quality memory so I bought a 128 Meg stick of PC133 memory from Crucial.com . It worked great in the system.
The price dropped during December so I bought a 256 Meg stick of PC133 cas latency 3 memory. In January 2001 I see that a different version of my mother board listed on the Crucial page as having cas latency 2 available.
I promptly emailed Crucial stating the discrepancy, and was able to exchange my 256 meg stick with the better version because of their 30 day policy. That service was appreciated.
As prices continued to drop I bought 2 more sticks of 256 meg memory from them. So now with 884 Meg of memory, I have a very quick and eficent computer.
The fact that they shipped FREE 2nd day UPS ( currently Fed EX ) just improves the interest.
I even loaned the 128 stick to a friend interested in more memory. He tried some from a nation wide discount store and his computer just would not work. Using the crucial memory and it worked fine. The result ? He ordered 2 stick s of 256 meg for himself.
There may be better memory out there but if you want quality memory, quality friendly service at a price that beats the discount and computer stores ( without fighting with dumb rebates) I know of no better than Crucial.
Don't know what memory will work with your computer? Their web site will walk you through the selection process.
Try Crucial.com you won't be disappointed!
